Advice on how to improve my profile

Hi everyone, would appreciate ways in which my profile can be improved-and yes I appreciate it's close to dismal at the moment!

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

read all the other threads on the same subject. Theres hints and tips there... just be more original than some of the other thread starters and actually use some of the tips...

It doesn't really say anything. If you already know its close to dismal do you not think you should make a bit of effort on your own first of all rather than basically relying on others to write it for you?

Jay - have a look at the profiles of some of the single guys who post regularly in the forums. Their profiles, mostly, stand up to critique quite well and might give you an idea where to start from. I say 'start' as there is, sorry to say, precious little of yours right now.

If it helps to start with, remember that your profile is YOUR shop window. If you stood in front of a shop and the window display didn't look inviting, would YOU open the door and go in..?? Always look at your profile like that, and it should guide you in the right direction..

The problem with these kinds of threads is that the poster can rarely be bothered to do anything constructive to help themselves and usually delete their profiles within a week - so they are a waste of a response.

Show that you're worth helping in the first place.

Go away and write what you think is the best possible profile for yourself, then put up some pics that you think show you in your best possible light.

Come back and see us once you've shown you are prepared to make an effort

I agree, it's the 21st Century internet world, people expect everything, at their fingertips, instantly with little effort, kind of like a sexual EBAY !

Except OP, would YOU buy an item off Ebay that had no image of it and very little description

You sound more like you are from Yorkshire than Lincoln. My daughter's boyfriend is from Lincoln and he doesnt speak like that. Also, the profile pic is a little strange, if you can show a face pic think that would help a lot. The coal face thing well raised a little smile but thats all. Sorry for the comments but im just being honest here. Hope you find what you are looking for, oh and I assume you practice safe sex as its not listed?

You don't say lol, it was just taking the mickey out of what people from the south think people from the north sound and live like. Also I'm not from Lincoln originally anyway.

And yes, I do practice safe sex as I have an IQ higher than that of the common fruit fly.
