FabSwingers.com forum: The Blind date gambit.

I know the default response to this is "block and move on" but I dont think that precludes us from having a discussion about the motivation behind this phenomenon I have seen on FAB.

I call it the blind daters, its universally guys but occasionally couples who send you a message asking to meet but have no pictures and "no way" of getting any on the site.

These guys universally fail to get meets and remain unverified but I'm wondering what the mindset is behind joining a site like this and expecting people to meet you without a single picture of any sort.

(before I get sniped at we have full pictures of us both including face we send to any prospective meets).

I think sometimes there is not really a motivation, just a misunderstanding of what swinging is.

They think with their 'little heads' and have their own idea of what swinging is.

Many fail to make the distinction between swinging and instashag/shaganything/desperateforsex.

Or they are just trying their luck.

Annoyingly sometimes these profiles seem to be successful, and get meets and hang around for years (based on veri's displayed)

I guess though, without asking them directly, we will never know

I'm sorry, but how is it annoying that these profiles seem to work? Don't we hear on the forums that we all use the site as we see fit to? If having no pics works for them, why should they put pics up?

I've had this twice, where they've sworn blind that due to work etc they can't send a pic or upload one due to work etc. but they would be quite happy to send one to my phone if I gave the number x

Tbh I see this more with alleged 'single fems' and couples. With guys profiles I guess they're chancing their arm and have a 'lets give it a try' mentality - nothing ventured, nothing gained.

But when I receive a message from a 'blank' female or couples profile - the chances are about 98% it'll end up in the bin!!

I've had exactly the situation today, guy with no pics at all, a one sentence profile.....I told him straight, no genuine swinger will meet him ...make more effort please, a couple of descrete body pics and a sentence at least gggggrrr

Its the brand new 'gals' that crack me up! You know the ones. Only been on site 20mins and they msge asking you to come to their house for a meet! Yeah right!

I find it annoying as I make an effort with my profile, I wrote it for a reason. I keep it up to date and I take pictures for it.

I dont look at new profiles male/female or couple so cant comment on that. But I find it difficult to start a conversation without any of the basic details (ie from a blank profile)

Where it says 'will fill out later' and they've been here 'over a year'

What could I have in common with someone? How do I know if I am interested? Why have they bothered emailing me? That's what I find annoying. If they just want to be an unknown phallus, great I've some dildo's in my bedroom I've owned over a year and I know where they've been :D I don't need to find them in my inbox.

I know 'they' can use this site as they wish, and I can decline them as I wish.

I never send face pics to anyone and I'm never going to. Il meet for a drink or coffee if they want to see me b4 meet. I won't get offended if they don't want to carry on. Pics arnt the most important thing.

I totally see where your coming from. I have the same trouble with new 'gals'! But, all i was saying is, if it works for them, then maybe thats the way they prefer it. I don't get annoyed at a profile if it has no pics and they have loads of veris. Perhaps their pics are on private? Or perhaps they just have good enough banter! Who knows eh!
