"Yes it's just you - every thread doesn't end up like that ..." It was your toastie loaves thread that did it!! lol To the OP, I don't think all threads end up like that but the subjects you mention are brought up on a regular basis because they mean a lot to people

"Is it just me, or does nearly every thread at some point turn into a debate about who is or who isn't genuine? I realise there are a lot of timewasters, fakers and "nutters" about, but i seems of late, that any thread posted about a swinging subject leads to the afore mentioned. surely looking at peoples profies in detail and reading in full and then the usual pic swap phonecall thing should tell you.(it has always worked for me) its a start and then you take the next step. Or are we to live in a world of paranoia on here? (sitting back, flameproof jacket on. lol)" well drifting off the op who is or isnt genuine on here pmsl Craig x

"Hmmmm I was the Bozo who bought a 'computer' made by Texas instruments !! A T.I something or other. It looked great but you couldn't get any games for it, so had to spend days typing in lines of text from a computer magazine, only to get a game which didn't work. Remember this : 101 If A=0 then Gosub 201 110 If A then Goto 150 Those were the days" lol. I wasn't really into computers at all then, but a friend of mine had a computer he had to type codes into for the simplest of games, I remember sitting with him for ages whilst he did so just to get the most boring of games, lol. "were the atari and commodore64 consoles genuine or just timewasting ?" I think the Spectrum ZX owners were genuine whilst all the others were just timewasting. I knew 2 mates who had ZX's and always played together as a couple which seemed natural as everyone always knew the score, whilst the commodore and atari owners were always playing on their own and despite their protestations you could never really work out if they were cheating or not. It was fun to regularly go round to my mates house to play on their ZX's but funnily the commodore and atari owners never invited us for a whole bunch of unbelievable reasons. On the whole we found that whilst there were some genuine commodore and atari owners out there, they were as rare as rocking horse ppoh as most were cheating, whilst the ZX folk were definitely the real deal

I remember them well, the motor speed regulators used to play up, causing the records to play at anything but the correct speed. I've changed one or two of them in my time lol
