Heya I’m based in the midlands and plan to visit a club? As a single male it’s a little daunting so what are they like? Is it just a pub or smart club scene and play rooms are seperate if someone likes the look of you they will come and chat ? If you’re going solo do you just drink and take in the scene ?

Yeah, it's very similar to what you describe. It's not a free for all. Best advice is approach anyone you like and if they say no, just move on. If the club has a hot tub or sauna they can also be good places to get conversations started. The chances of you playing without speaking to someone before hand are fairly low, and don't stress if you don't play on your first trip

Ah I see, yeah I’m not the pushy kind but it’s useful to have some info before walking in! Thanks for the help and I’ll look for a hot tub or fun spa? place that feels more natural for chats for me

They vary. Some are like a regular club(smart dress etc), others are very much dress down.

Just think of it like a regular night - be friendly, don’t be pushy or do anything you don’t want to do and you may (or may not) go home with a smile on your face.

Be a single guy is tougher so if you could go with someone you know for your first trip then that might be easier.

Depends on the club depends on your personality and depends on what you are interested in and wish to achieve...

There's no one size fits all so you honestly need to think about what you want and know more of yourself honestly and just go...I've been to 4 here

Newcastle Edinburgh Glasgow(2). I prefer the 2 in Glasgow by far.. I'm not new to the lifestyle so I prefer a club set up for those past testing the waters.

There will be clubs all around you in the Midlands and all will be different. Use the reviews on here and the club websites to help you to choose which appeal more:

Dress down immediately

Spa facilities

Small and intimate or more if a nightclub feel.

Quiet night or an event if interest.

There’s a club and a themed club night for everyone.

Please let us know how you get on.

Every club is different, but they'll generally have a social area and a separate play area. The dress code tends to be a lot more relaxed (euphemistically speaking) than your average pub, and a few clubs will require that you dress down even in the social areas. But it's very rare that you'll walk straight into play.

It's not impossible that someone will like the look of you and approach, but you will greatly improve your chances if you join in the social side. Don't just sit there drinking. Find the open conversations (you might have to go looking - the best place is often the smoking area) and be a part of it. Swinging isn't just sex, and how you present yourself in a social setting makes a difference.

It's OK to have a drink, but know your limit and stay well under it. The aim is to loosen up, not lose control.

The best way to find out what a club is like is to go. Pick one, visit their web site, and read the rules. If they don't offer you a tour when you arrive, ask for one.

You're spoiled for choice in the Midlands - try a few and see which style you're most comfortable with. They're all different.

Despite what some people seem to believe, single men are very welcome at clubs - as long as they're a good fit. Many women and couples will go to a club on mixed nights because they want to play with a single man (or, sometimes, a lot of single men). Be a decent person, be friendly, don't be selfish, make an effort, get involved.
