Couple photos

Is it me or...

How come there are couples photos, but they have been taken on a phone by the person. Are they too embarrassed to have their partner take the photos?

If they are just FB playing together, then surely they can take them of each other?

Dare I guess it's a single bloke trying to pass themselves off as a couple?

I have seen female half of "couples" doing the same thing, so it isn't confined to single males ( although more men do it than woman)

I always think it is supsect too.

It has to be one of two things for me,either they are FB and don't live together or they are not a couple.

If you are going to swing, then surely you wouldn't be embarrassed to take pictures of each other, so I rule that one out.

I find it very frustrating to see an attractive woman. With no picture of the guy mary will be playing with we cant really take it further. I would love to know what the philosophy is? I personally hate pictures of myself. Fortunately at least a few female halves of couples dont share my opinion.

Yes I can't understand that one either..if both of the couple expect a swap then surely there should be pictures of both available.

As we are not trying to attract couples, we don't feel the need to have his pictures on, as they won't be doing him

We do always show that we are a couple on cam though so they do see Mr R before a meet.

Trace gets a real bee in her bonnet about it.Even if the woman is an absolute stunner,she'll say "Wheres his pix?",if there are none she just says "forget it!".

You'd think the amount of ppl who share these sentiments would make guys get their acts together.Afterall,its mainly the women who have the casting vote on a meet,so guys pix are just as important as womens,maybe more so.

Every couple should have at least one in each gallery.

I think there are more than enough couples and singles in this way of life who are streetwise enough to know just how easy it is to put up fake profile info, out of date pictures and false verifications. Most of us are also fully aware of how easy it is to spoof someone on webcam or via a phone chat and as such we put absolutely no reliance on any of these things because they are simple window dressing.

We look at a profile as a piece of general prose which simply gives us a rough idea about location and suitability. If we contact anyone we ask for an early chat on the phone followed by an exchange of recent non sexual facial pictures, which in itself is not foolproof as we once met a couple who had sent us completely different face pics.

The only tried and tested method of really finding out who someone is and what they are really like is to actually meet them face to face and we take everything else up to that point with a large pinch of salt.

Hmm! intersting and to a point understandable. For us it's like this, Paul hates having his pic taken, but for those peeps where there may be a mutual interest between us, there are a couple of normal pics that we can send, either via msn or e mail ... equally we do use a webcam and we are both happy to show ourselves that way. In addition we are verified by other genuine couples on this and other sites with no complaints so far lol ... I guess it's horses for courses, we all do things differently with our own little preferences ... happy days peeps xxx

must agree with what most have said already but what we find strange are the amount of profiles without anykind of pic at all and when asked the people state they have no cam/camera to take any and will be doing so asap but then few weeks later still no pics , now we know some have genuine reasons for no pics but all !!!!! and as for our profile pics yes mainly mrs mids as she the sexy one and also by the reaction when i mr mids am on cam ,seems i scare people so think it best we leave her on then at least we may get some mail lol so how on earth are we supposed to know if there is any attraction at all if cant even judge what they look like in forst place does make things a bit hard

Well we did our pic of the 2 of us when we had the tripod set up to do our verification pictures (which were clothed face ones) but we have been told we look like yoko and john in it today so I dont know it might have to go ha ha

But how do we actually know that is you? How do we actually know that picture is up to date etc etc............ do you see what we are trying to say.

Our pictures prove absolutely feck all and any sensible folk out there would realise that straight away.

On the other hand our profile, not the pics, will give an indication, and nothing else as to what and who we are but pics,cams etc etc are simply not worth the bandwidth

We have only one verification which we are very happy to have for obvious reasons, it's worth it's weight in gold.

As regards pics on profiles if you and others are naive enough to believe them then crack on but at our age we think reality and common sense has a very important part to play in this lifestyle.

We must be missing something here.

What would be the point in anyone, seriously wanting to meet someone else on here,not showing true images of themselves?

Whats the point in sorting a meet on the the strength of those images,spending half a day getting ready and an hour travelling, only to get the door slammed in your face because you don't look at all like your pic's?

It would seem an extremely pointless exercise from our point of view.Yes you may get the odd weirdo's but we'd bet they're very rare.

We've certainly never been disappointed by anyone we've met on the strength of their photo's.To have little or no confidence in anyones pic's being genuine,sounds to be bordering on paranoia.

I have often found that as you continue to mail someone, little snippets of what is the real truth come out and you find that indeed, their profile is utter tosh. Having said that, there vare many on here that speak the truth, the whole truth and nothing but......

With that in mind we look at profiles as nothing more than a basic info pack that is there to simply get peoples attention. Whats in it is may be real but conversely may well be utter tosh and until we actually meet folk we reserve judgement to avoid dissapointment.

At our young age we are not silly enough to believe for certain pics are the most genuine, doesn't take age but common sense to work that out, also being a forum reader and if I remember right your verification is by someone who claims to have been to chameleons 40 odd times (I think) and not played, so also realise your verification doesn't stand quite so strong as you believe.

My point was never about the pics but why you chose to ask when you have less verifications and similar but clothed pics.

You are right about reality and common sense playing a big part in this lifestyle, doesn't take a genius to work that out, but maybe you may like to put some of that into your posts, especially those asking questions, then people may see you are asking a genuine question and not just being picky.

Reading between the lines it would seem to me you believe you are ever so much smarter and life experienced than those younger than yourselves, that is either prejudice or ignorant and arrogant in my view.

Before anyone jumps down my throat, read my post again, this is far from a personal attack, more an opinion on behaviour.

Sure there are timewasters,no shows,people who don't live up to the text in their profiles but luckily (or selectively) we've managed to avoid those.All it takes on our part is a few conversations on the phone and we can get a good feeling about folk.It hasn't let us down yet.

Yes,we have found in chatting that they may let slip something that makes us not want to meet and we act accordingly.

However we thought the crux of this thread was about profile pics being genuine.That being the case our former post still stands,if they don't look like their pic's,they don't cross the threshold.

We're not saying there aren't the odd few who post fake pic's but we don't think there's many who actualy meet folk.What's the point when they're just going to get knocked back?

I am really confused as to why some of you are struggling with our notion that profile pictures should not be relied upon? Just before Xmas we met a couple off here. We liked their profile, we chatted on the phone, we exchanged facial pics and we met. They were a very friendly and charming couple but not for us, which is a complete first and one of the hardest emails we have had to compose. The pics they sent were very nice and they had not attempted to deceive us but the pics did not tell the whole story which is precisely the point I am trying to make.

However 3 questions to answer so in turn

It was not my intention to introduce the age verses experience argument but after reading your last couple of posts I suspect you are going to kick yourself and feel a bit silly.

The reason Ged has been to Chams so many times, and I should imagine it is way more than 40 is because he works there. He is both a social member and a member of staff and was working a couple of Sundays ago when Diamond and MadChick had their party. We met Ged last year when we stayed at his guest house which is just round the corner from the club. Most folk who use Chams will either have met or know of Ged, the verification states we did not play but does make note with regard to how he perceived us and that is why it is worth it’s weight in gold.

Honeypot,

We have pics on our profile for the exact same reason everyone else does, it’s a form of advertising. IF you believe our pics, and I stress the IF, then you would probably assume that Mrs Two2 is a slim to average sized lady who enjoys wearing sexy lingerie and having her picture taken. However what you don’t know is how old the pics are, maybe Mrs Two2 in now a 4 or 5 dress sizes bigger since they were taken or even if that is Mrs Two2 at all. The pics do nothing more than suggest and the only time you will actually know anything about us is the very first time we meet, hence the reason we take profiles, pics etc with a huge pinch of salt.

I am in pretty much total agreement with your last post, which is the exact point I have been trying to make. It’s because there are folk out there that would attempt to deceive that we are so sceptical about the whole selection process and why we expect nothing what so ever until we meet in the flesh. It’s also why we now say we never play on first meets and why we always meet on neutral territory first.

I apologise if my posts last night caused offence my remarks were not aimed at you, they were aimed at folk in general and I was not questioning the validity or quality of your pictures. I was trying to make a point, and making a bit of a hash of it, with regards to reliance on profile pictures and was not making any kind of personal statement about you and I am very sorry if you took it that way.

It's like the profile, it gives an indication of what the other people are like. Just like the profile it can be misleading also, but it's a starting point. Do we want to chat with them and see where it goes, web cam is still the best option before a meet, no cam then suspicion goes up a notch (waiting for flack, we don't have a cam, were not fakes, lol £10!).

Anyway, all interesting.

Thanks, I have to admit I did feel as though it was targetted at us but at the same time I do agree with what you are saying, you cant be sure the people in the pictures are the people you will meet, or that they couldnt have changed somewhat.

I guess you just have to do everything you can to prove yourself as genuine to others ie. get verification by fab and by others who meet you and be willing to go on cam or chat on phone etc at a convient time and also do the same checks with others when looking for meets.

each to their own. We don't play on cam, just to see who we are chatting to and see if they are a couple...works well for us. I'm sure you have your own way to know if it's worth a meet

There used to be a facility for us all to display a Home Page/website at the bottom of our profiles.These were very useful for getting up to date pix and info.

Unfortunately it disappeard during the site revamp.We asked about it but never heard anything.
