I expect we all get nervous. It's part of the buzz. Probably the kick that makes swing sex so much more of a turn on

Im usually the same.if its a first meet with someone.have had a few dissapointments but also met some great people who understand you may be nervous and have put me at ease.this makes the meet great cus u can then relax and just enjoy yourselves

I'm always nervous and excited and that for me is part of the whole experience, when I cease to find it stimulating then whats the point?

Brighton - even Hove!

I worry people won't turn up, if they do, the nerves go immediately as just meeting naked people is good fun if it's in a naturist environment or for a social if it's not.

Anticipation, excitement and some nervousness all bundle together for me and gives me butterflies every time, even when I know the people already. Maybe it's a bit similar to what actors feel before a performance, as soon as it kicks off it's all fine!

We have had a few meets, couples, women and men and we both get this nervous excitement before every meet. Think it's all part of the whole experience and I don't think I'd want it to go away xxx

nerves are all part of the meet, but remember if you are feeling them so is the other person you are meeting, a bit like first date nerves, and not knowing what to expect, its all part of being human. id worry if you werent nervous.

If I stopped feeling nervous before a meet I think it's be time to stop playing...it's all part of the excitement and build up for me. If I wasn't nervous and meeting was just 'run of the mill' then for me it would mean it had lost it's edge x

Hmm not particularly nervous but I find it much more comfortable when they have given me a sign that I am their type. Before that im thinking 'does she fancy me' or 'should I go in for a snog' etc

I get nervous in case they aren't what I expect or I am not what they expect. Been there before and didnt like the pressure so tend to meet socially first now!

OP - if this helps, the part of the brain which creates the 'fight or flight' reaction (which is where a feeling of nervousness starts) is also the part where the feeling of excitement starts too.

Actors are taught a technique for countering stage fright when the nerves kick in (which is very similar to the feeling you will be getting pre-meet) which is very simply telling themselves they are excited (NOT nervous) when the 'butterflies' start. They keep repeating over and over in their minds 'I am excited!!' to combat it.

Give it a try. May not work for you, but worth a go....

ive been doing this 11 years and I still get nervous before meeting someone for the first time, its all adds to the excitement I think, if you don't become nervous then I think its because its starting to feel like everyday life and I don't think id like that

I used to get very nervous before we met someone for the first time until we introduced the "no playing on first meet" rule, I now positively look forward to a social meet. If we all get along and decide to meet for some fun then I still feel nervous but like you feel a little nervous before you go on holiday or something like that

For me it depends who I am meeting, sometimes I am totally relaxed especially if it is someone i have met before.

Other times I am more petrified than nervous, mainly if its someone I can't understand why they are meeting me instead of someone younger or hotter..

Sometimes its just a few first meet with a new person nerves, which I am sure most have

Weird i know !

We always have nerves before a meet.....

Nothing a couple of drinks can't cure.....

Mind we now tend to arrange meets in a club, just so.its neutral territory, there are others around and if they turn out to be Fred n rose west we can still play in the club and the night is not lost!

Totally get nervous, but agree that it adds to the anticipation.

Have let the nerves get the better of me in the past but I try to enjoy that feeling now.

Yes, the nerves hit me too prior to every meet, but I look at this as being part of all the run up to everything.

Actually, the opposite effect would be confidence; no bad thing, but for some, that might be construed as being overly so and maybe even being seen as cocky and arrogant.

Nerves any time are ok, but they should soon subside!

Always feel a bit nervous before any meet. Think its a fairly natural thing and to be honest probably part of the fun.

I wouldn't say I get nervous but there's always a sense of anticipation. I find it all adds to the excitement of a meet.

We both still get nervous before a meet. I tend to go very quiet the day before and I too over analyse things. What if they dont like me ......... Blah blah blah.

Think its part of the course really. I find a couple of glasses of wine sirts me out. Xxx

Yep. Some nerves. I tend to be a bit guarded until I get comfortable with people.

I don't think its a bad thing to be cautious with new meets even to the point that you might feel a bit unfulfilled on the first meet.

Its not a race and the feeling of: "I'd love to do it again and explore some more" is not exactly a bad sign.

On the other hand; the feeling of "You went to far" definitely is!
