I am one of those weirdos who thinks they're different. A FB is for no strings sex but is more regular than a one off. Drinks, chat, then naughty fun.

A FWB is what a long term FB evolves into. I have had a FWB for 6 years. We meet for drinks, chat, and naughty fun, but we also spend a weekend together now and then, go out for meals, and chat on the phone.

Other definitions are likely though.

What they say on the tin!

Fuckbuddy/Friend with benefits - i.e. people who meet for sex and mutual enjoyment - with no ties, relationship, commitments, expectancy or the worry that one will be at the 'beck and call' of the other.

Either works well - or goes tits up due to one party wanting more/less and not sticking to any agreed rules re contact/frequency/agreements re continuing to meet others.

Probable that FWB arrangements are much more likely to lead to very sticky situations,

At the point at which lines start to get crossed by the other party they will rapidly become EFB's - Ex Fuck Buddies !
