Is it illegal to show people our pics in a pub without our consent as a guy we know has shared our pics to everyone in our local pub

Is it pictures you've posted on here for everyone to see or friends only?

Not that it matters I'm guessing, it's a public forum so I doubt it's illegal.

I would think if they are publicly viewable pictures then no, if private probably yes.

What? That's out of order. This is the problem with digital media once it's published it's so hard to control. And fab doesn't have much protection on people's images either which make it easier for individuals to copy/share. The only advice would be to be mindful of what you are sharing. As for the legality of it I'm not sure tbh.

If you share any intimate images without consent then you are probably breaking the law.

I know there are WhatsApp groups on here that share pictures - I would imagine that pretty much everyone on those groups would be liable to prosecution if/when it is discovered.

It's illegal but it's also not very prosecutable..

Just try to limit face pictures blur tattoos and don't mix pictures with other identified things.

It sucks there's websites with my thefted pics despite me doing the above

I tend to disagree, by putting them publicly on here you are agreeing to share with other people with similar interests. To get access you have to be a member of the site. That is completely different to showing everyone in the pub. Yes I think that is illegal without your permission.

Your probably better of discussing with a solicitor who you can give exact details to. And they can advise what action you can take
