Don't want to go over the top

Yet don't want to think I'm not making an effort

It really depends what the social is and where it is.

"It really depends what the social is and where it is. "

Probably a pub for a drink

Don't wanna go OTT

But then Jeans n Hoddie may go with no effort

Smart casual is always the way to go.

I always go dressed smartly.or Smart casual at least (nice shirt, clean jeans and shoes etc) and smelling nice.

Works for me.

And pair of jeans that fit you well and a hoodie you’re comfortable in and is clean is better than wearing something that you don’t like or doesn’t suit you

Better to be yourself than try and dress like someone else

I’d go with a casual shirt/nice polo shirt, jeans and smart trainers or Chelsea boots

Same as this. Be yourself. Wear something in which you feel comfortable and confident, and that's appropriate for the time of day and venue

It depends on you, the location and the person you're meeting.

I like to know that someone respects me and themselves enough to be clean, groomed and nicely dressed.

i think casual but not dirty, torn clothes etc.

you want to make some kind of effort to look and smell good. it is in a way a kind of date.

but appropriate for the place that you are meeting each other and the time of the day. you dont want to look out of place.

Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, Stourbridge

For us just be clean. Out socials are in a Tim Hortons/Costa or a casual place to eat.

A tracksuit is fine honestly we are meeting the person not their clothes.
