"Drop the disclaimer. It's absolutely useless and just means people think you're gullible enough to believe it. What legal action would you intend to pursue?" You do realise that revenge porn etc and unwanted use of nude with authrisation is a law and can pe proceuted yeah it take years a full journey but yehre is laws against such things so disclaimer actually does prove to yiu saying yiu ain't giving consent which is more of leg to stand on than I have as we don't have said disclaimer

The disclaimer does nothing. You've already put those images into the public domain yourself.

"Thank you, it's an interesting subject. Think I'll keep the disclaimer and make certain pics 'only for friends'. So many profiles gave a disclaimer, not sure it'll harm my chances tbh. Not like it's going to reduce the number of messages I get " Hiya The disclaimer is just like a chain letter and further information via the FAQ would point out regarding the disclaimer as it just takes up unnecessary space as well on the server But if said person/people took a screenshot of photos how would you know, then if found on another site you would need to take action via that site as it was used there without your consent....

"I don’t understand. You had a disclaimer. You said you were keeping the disclaimer. You’ve removed the disclaimer Now it’s not YOUR profile it’s a profile written or advised by others " You do understand. This is pointless and makes you look gullible - I'm keeping it. This is less likely to get you pussy - It's gone. It's not rocket science. One of the reasons I don't specify what I do like in my profile is because it's so exhausting watching people try to lie to fit themselves to it. But some people will just do whatever it takes to get laid regardless of actual compatibility 💜

From wanting to keep it to saying it’s being removed for others, personally I find odd

He’s asked for advice and then taken it and changed his view on something. Give the guy a break

So if you don't mind that, leave it up, but lots of people don't want to meet people who aren't very bright, so it probably is harming your chances.

"Wow, looks like I've opened a whole can of worms here. All lifestyles have unwritten rules, that as an outsider just joining, you have no idea about. It is always a matter of learning how to act, what to say and how to behave. I think asking for advise is the best route to understand what people think and expect. What is normal and what do people want to see. As a complete Fab virgin, the disclaimer seems like a logical thing to do. Who knows what rights you have and how your info could be used. Surely better safe than sorry, right? But as I've rightly had pointed out to me, it's viewed as a completely novice thing to do. I've only been here a short amount of time and my whole perception has changed multiple times. Again, thank you all for the advise and inside knowledge. " Asking for advice is fine, as far as I’m concerned. Some people are rightly concerned that it could lead to something that isn’t authentic to you, but, same as you’d ask someone to proof read your CV, I don’t think there’s a problem. With regards to the disclaimer - go and have a look at the site’s FAQs linked from the front page. That’ll explain why they’re legally useless at best and factually incorrect at worst.
