Travelling for meets

Do many people travel to other cities for the weekend just to meets new people as well as getting a city break?

We feel we see the same profiles again and again . We are from Scotland but wonder if travelling down south to a major city would give us more new options. We would visit clubs but wife wouldn’t play in a club so might be a waste of a potential meet night.

We may do for a group social or a club, when I meet with my partner.

There seems to be so many threads about people wasting others time though lately, for me to want to travel a fair distance just to meet someone.

If we're going somewhere already then having a meet whilst there could be good.

You may want to reconsider the clubs.

So my wife and I are regulars at Club F in N.E England. It doubles as a hotel with Private rooms so youre under no obligation to play in public areas or with anyone else.

I only mention it because we see a lot of Scottish people there who travel down for the weekend who have said exactly the same thing you're saying. To be fair, we have just as many people who travel north to visist as well so it's people from all over the UK and even Ireland recently.

There is a LOT of emphasis on the social aspect of swinging at Club F so it's a great place to meet people and make new friends in a zero pressure environment but every club differs.

It may not feel like your sort of thing but for the longest time my wife and I thought the same way. Didn't think clubs where for us. Now you can't keep us out of them as it's proved the vastly superior way to meet folks. To the point we rarely even use Fab for meets now.

May be worth trying a club once, or at least the right type of club once, before you say "never" because it really can be a complete game changer and to make friends from all over the country.

We'll travel about an hour and half or so for a meet. Any further afield we'll only do if we happen to be going to that place for a weekend away.

We often take short breaks and look to meet while we're away as easier to meet when away than when at home we're often in the new forest area as seems good for meets

I only bother within a certain distance now ..had too many people mess me about and at worst disappear from site or not respond as planned re address details etc ...

I'll settle for cam first ! And that's not a given lol ...

We travel and have weekend breaks and have some fun with other we’ve chatted to on fab or sometimes visit clubs in the area it’s a great way to see other places and enjoy company with other, we’ve met couples, single males and luck enough to find a great female while on our fun weekend breaks xx

No more than an hour’s drive. Taunton to the east. Bodmin to the west. I have neither the time nor the money to be driving all over country, especially with the risk of being stood up.

If you mean swinging places to go then CJs is the local club. 5 min taxi from city centre. Don’t walk there or back.

I travelled for clubs all the time and always been amazing!

And changed my location to where I’d be happy to travel to

I’d not go with no plans unless you’re 100% happy with just being yourselves, just in case.

We’d probably organise a meet with a well verified profile and also have talked to a few others in the area we’re visiting. In theory

We’d make sure we have plenty of vanilla things planned so if meets fall through we’d still have a good couple of days.

We do.

We like to have time away so often book hotels in various parts of the south west. We also like to use this chance to have some fun when we can, because it is difficult at home due to our son moving back in.

If we get a meet it's a bonus, but if not, then we have had a good weekend away together.

That's disgusting but not surprising...had a similar experience but about 20mile less overall ...Hence 10 mile max for me now..

We often travel around the country to mix a weekend/mini break with a club visit or too. Its great to experience new places and a new pool of people. Sometimes if a club has on site accommodation we'll checking for a few days on site and have the weekend at the club.

Probably not so inclined to travel and spend a weekend away just for a meet unless they're freinds of our or we at least know them a bit.
