It's obviously not just a number to them. It's not just a number to many.

Also, where is acceptable for a cut off point? Change it to any age you like and there'll still be someone bellyaching about it. Concentrate on those who are looking for those in your age bracket and don't worry about those who aren't

as someone in the over 50s category it can seem a bit arbitrary at times, but @lipstickkisses does have a point, some folk just aren’t attracted to an older person - and that’s their choice. Those who aren’t so set will usually allow messaging from people outside their expressed preferences.

but if folk don’t, it’s best to just respect that & move on ???????

because people have a choice and thats their choice ...why worry or question something that you cant change ... swinging is a choice everything about it is down to preference especially if your a womam or couple..

People choose what they choose. Their choices frequently exclude certain groups, it's life

You're irked because 55 excludes you. The 54 year old is irked if it's 53. The 57 year old by 56. The point is, no matter what someone's cut off point is, it will exclude someone. So just accept that people have preferences. Some of those preferences will exclude you. Some won't.

Our problem is with the other end of the scale , where under 35s keep hitting on us, some might take this as a compliment ( we always thank them for their interest) but we won't go with anyone younger than our children.

The wife absolutely loves older men, it's her kink.

We have to look for couples that satisfy us both, an older guy with a wife around my age is the sweet spot but with that you narrow your field of search...don't worry about something you can't change

Personally for me as a mid 50s lady, I prefer a gent in his mid-40s to 50.

From experience, lots of gents over 50 can let themselves go, look a lot older, dress older, act older and these things aren't sexy.

As for cut off, it doesn't matter what age you put, it will piss someone off.

And yes, female experience the cut off age on men's profiles also.

There has been a lot of opinions on here about age preferences and stuff. In my opinion, there was someone that's age limit was 53 and lived within a mile of me, obvs I'm 55 and fit all her other boxes and she/we are possibly missing out on all kinds of great sex, because of an inhibition that in my opinion shouldn't even be considered when it comes to sex.

We are older not obselete 🤣🤣

Anyway opinion over let's move on with our lives 🤷🏼‍♀️

You might tick all her other boxes but you're not ticking one that's important to her.

How would you react if a 28 year old who ticked all your boxes except one contacted you, given that your lower age limit is 30?

We're older than most on fab and understand that people who don't want to meet those of our age aren't missing out on anything and neither are we
