Hey everyone just trying to get a feel on people's opinions, if you like a profile should you wink, to be like hey you look good, if you think I look good wink back ? Or should you bin them off and go straight in for a message ??

We are fans of winking. But nothing so annoying as receiving a wink, winking back and then either getting nothing back or worse....another wink!

We figure a wink is an easy way to show interest without the risk of actual written rejection

Nothing wrong with winking. In fact, I wrote a song about it ...

Just WINK!

Don't get inside your head and overthink

Don't even take the time to stop and blink

The worst thing it will lead to is a drink

So give a wink

Just give a wink

You've loaded up the app

And now you're looking down your feed

And we all know you're there

Because it's time to fill a need

You see a sexy picture

These people catch your eye

So what should you do next?

This is no time to be shy!

You look at all their pictures

Each one hotter than the last

They're getting you excited

And your heart rate's getting fast

You read right through their bio

Find out what they're looking for

You wonder if they'll like you too?

There's one wat to be sure

Just WINK!

Don't get inside your head and overthink

Don't even take the time to stop and blink

Maybe you'll find someone who can share your kink

So give a wink

Just give a wink

You jumped into this lifestyle

But don't know quite what to do

Feels like everyone knows everyone

Except they don't know you

You know inside your heart

That nobody's being mean

But as the time goes on

You think you're just not being seen

The way to make it better

Is to follow this advice

You'll never win the game if you're too scared to roll the dice

There's so many gorgeous people

Everywhere you take a look

But if you're staying hidden

Then you'll never get a fuck

Just WINK!

Don't get inside your head and overthink

Don't even take the time to stop and blink

Regardless if you're after blue or pink

So give a wink

Just give a wink

You've finally got your spirits up

And ready now to swing

Don't matter what you're wearing

Because confidence is king

You've come out of your shell

And now you've lost that little frown

With any luck, soon, it won't just

Be hair you're letting down

So WINK!

Don't get inside your head and overthink

Don't even take the time to stop and blink

Just walk yourself away now from the brink

Don't hide away and let your spirits sink

This lifestyle is much easier than you think

I only wink when I'm unsure if I'm the kind of guy a couple is looking for, e.g. if I see on their verifications that they've only met 50+ year old guys. In such situations I think there is close to a zero probability of them replying so I don't put effort into a message.

For profiles that specify exactly what kind of guy they are looking for - and I happen to meet their specifications — I will send a message instead of a wink because I think there is a good chance of a response in that situation.

We do wink unless the profile says not to.

If it does say not to, we tend to ignore that profile entirely or possibly block.

It's one of a few small tells that are a pretty reliable indicator that the individuals involved are not going to be for us.

That is a sensible idea. I also find it strange why some would put "don't wink" on a profile then proceed to ignore the overwhelming majority of messages they get...

Also, the content of messages is not really what drives the interest for a meet between two couples/singles. It is the profile of the person who sends the message that will influence your decision to meet with them. In that regard, there is very little difference between a wink and a message for the first contact.

There is absolutely a difference, just not a functional one for the purposes of fabmin.

The wink is an indicator of intent allowing the recipient to have their attention brought to the invitation and consider it.

The bespoke message someone put actual time and effort into that they then delete summarily is a little dopamine hit that vindicates their egotism.

Hence why those who refuse winks are not going to be for us, because odds are good they aren't here for anything more than an ego stroke and even if they are then their attitudes are not likely to endear them to us.

Carlisle usually

As a general (but not absolute) rule.

Winking women is pointless. There's hundreds every day and they just get bulk deleted.

Some couples and t girls are interested enough to check if their profiles aren't too busy.

Men are the most likely group to respond to a wink.

Constantly forget to check the winks section, by which time it's too overwhelming and often end up getting rid.

Friend Requests is the one I'm not so keen on - by which I mean a friend request before we've even messaged. Never accept those.

Now we don't see winks like that at all. We see them as a request from the winker for them to start a conversation, IF we wink back.

We see the wink system as another way of expressing interest. If somebody winks us we will wink back and it is up to the winker to start a conversation. The same is true in reverse if we wink and get a wink back we will message.

Like anything on here some love it some hate it or ignore it

I prefer men to wink first, then send a message thanking them if I'm interested over getting a tonne of messages that usually all say the same thing - especially if a guy winks me from a profile I've viewed but they don't mention Ts on their looking for list (which is usually a high proportion of men who actually want to talk/meet).

Is the power in the wink dependent on the winker...

As a guy I'd rarely bother sending a woman a wink, my assumption being what's the point... it gives nothing of me and she probably has a million messages let alone winks.

On the flip side, if a woman sends me a wink... it's a big sign that I should invest some time in a hello message and we're likely to have a chat.

I love a wink!
