Not Sub, but prefer women who know what they want?

I'm still exploring and finding out what I like. I don't see myself as sub but I am attracted by women who are confident and vocal about what they like, and occasionally enjoy taking the lead.

Is there a "role" that describes this?

Roles are a spectrum not everyone who is sub, dom or switch is the same.

Sub doesnt mean sissy, sl4ve, or something demeaning.

Porn and gender roles have both taught us that men need to take control and be rough.

Not everyone has a sub/dom role either. Sex doesn't always have to be about d/s.

Thanks all. Maybe my previous experiences in the vanilla world have affected my perception. As a guy I've always felt pressured to take the lead with partners who weren't really vocal or direct about what they wanted.

Yet I have not desire to have them take the lead or them to dominate (quite the opposite). However in the bedroom and/or from a kink point of veiw I like someone who understands themselves, is comfortable in their own skin and is comfortable communicating with me. I think this is plus for me in a submissive woman. To me submission is knowing what you want in terms of an experiance and handing that trust over your mind and body into the hands of someone else.
