To old?

Last night I was out for a few drinks. I got talking to a girl and we got on really well.

Anyway to cut it short she’s 28 and I’m 46.

Interested in what the general consensus is on this.

I’m I to old?

Absolutely not, if you get on with one another then go for it.

Depends. Too old for what? A shag? No. Romance, marriage, kids, old age, yeah probably, unless you are rich.

If you both want the same thing and it's legal then why worry about it? I've been to plenty of clubs where there are people much older than me having more fun than me. Age has nothing to do with it. 2 adults wanting a good time is what matters most.

As long as she's into it, fine. Don't mind anyone else. Some women like older men, some women have no age preferences, just go with it if you're both fine with it.

Personally, I think if you need others to approve, then you're not ok with it. I could be wrong. But I was always told, if in doubt, dont

I’m not sure I’m looking for approval. I think I might just be bragging

I woke up happy today

What’s money got to do with it? Do you believe women are all that shallow and materialistic? I found romance, love, kids and a life partner with a woman with a not dissimilar age gap 11 years ago when earning less money than I had since the mid 90s.

You're 18 years older than her. It could work.

When you say chatting, have you agreed to see each other again?

Age isn't relevant if two or more people get on mentally and physically...

The problem is and always has been that society has frowned and somehow twisted the narrative and fact that an age gap is perverse and disgusting, and that your either looking for a sugar daddy or mummy or your a rent boy!

Even in these liberated times, sadly age gaps are seen as crossing the line...

If you have common interests, then no.

If either of you start dictating to eachother about no longer enjoying age appropriate things, then yes.

My ex was 26 years older than me, I was 24 when we first got together and it was hard doing alot of things a normal mid 20's person enjoyed because he didn't like me acting younger than him. Don't be that person. And likewise if she starts acting like it, leave.

Hell no lol. Tony met a 25 year old, chatted for months with an 18 year old and had a 27 year old 'friend' for a few months . If it works and your both happy, it works.

To have fun with each other definitely not too old, but if you were looking to have a serious relationship then project forward when you are 60 and… you might not have much in common. Even a decade can mean you have different memories and attitudes to life. But heh everybody is different, this site is about fun so go for it, and lucky you

I was thinking that rich folk are often able to do what they like regardless of what others think.

I'm 44 and was seeing a 28 year old for 18 months (just turned 27 when I met him), my rule of thumb is anyone 5 years older than my eldest son is "up for grabs" so to speak.

Personally I wouldn’t do it, the age gap is too great. I wouldn’t be worried what anyone thought but I would be worried about the future.

In all relationships the start is all exciting and full of lust but as real life settles in I think our interests and expectations would be wildly different.

At 26 you are beginning your adult life and looking forward to marriage and kids. Pushing 50 is the age where generally that’s all ticked off and you are looking forward to easing off. We would be just too different.

Society frowns upon swinging but here we all are in a swinging site.
