Greetings fabbers!

I know I will probably be told -

“Choose the one you feel comfortable with” by many BUT I’d really prefer if people can help me to choose which one to use as a ‘general consensus’ since I find I often describe myself differently to how I come across to others and I’m a stickler for conveying “truth” - please endulge my autistic brain and help a gal out!

I understand the concepts of curvy, ample & large - I don’t understand fabulous (to me that word has been interpreted as “I am super happy and confident with my body and what size and shape it is doesn’t matter??) …

I can look at other women’s bodies and see curvy/ ample/ fabulous - I find other women’s bodies heavenly to look at in general to be honest! Much better than men’s haha.

BUT I have no idea which word to use for me and I don’t want people thinking I’m tapped because when they meet me I’ve described myself wrong and although I shouldn’t give this a second thought - I do because my brain is wired up differently.

I am 5’4 so fairly short but not tiny and I have a pear shaped body that is currently a 14 on top and a 20 on the bottom (sometimes it is a 10 on top and a 14 on the bottom but not at the moment).

I also have an overhanging lower belly. I believe it is colloquially known as a Fupa.

Which word should I use on my profile? Thank you very much! X x

I’m 5’1, 16 on top due to big boobs, 18 on bottom with belly, I put ample, but I do like the fabulous option!

Hubby put me as curvy, but I changed it to ample because I felt that ample reflected a more cuddly figure. I do think I'm curvy but I'd prefer less curves tbh and curvy can be attributed to any dress size. I'd prefer to be describe myself as having ample curves

I’ve no idea what the fabulous option actually means but I love it too! Hehe

I hear this! Men are always saying you must be curvy, I love women with curves but most women’s bodies are curvy as you say!

Ample curves is good

I’ve kinda lost my curves through losing weight (feel like a rectangle with a belly) but I wouldn’t say I’m slim so I went for the rather bland “average” which I kinda hate!

It’s really hard to quantify isn’t it! Sorry but the rectangle with a belly made me lol - not at you! At how we describe ourselves. One of my friends calls her belly a shelf.

“I’ve got a fucking a shelf attached to me”

The things we say! And I bet you a tenner if I saw your body I would NOT be describing you as a rectangle with a belly haha. Xx

Haha feel free to laugh away - it’s hard figuring out being in that kind of in-betweeny size - I used to be a lot lot bigger and that was so much easier to describe! Oh yeah and I had tits

Yep! I was much bigger at one point - not so long ago - so I was like “ok / it’s large - I’m good” and now I’m like / well - I now have a waist and I can fit into normal sized clothes again so… AAAAAAAAH

I’ve never really had decent boobs though - mine were spaniels ears when I was frigging 14 :D

I’ve put myself down as ample. I’m between a 16-18.

Having had a look at your pics, I would say you body was average but, there isn't the option for "absolutely smoking hot" so... what can you do?

When I first joined I put ample. I got critism from men saying I should put curvy. I changed it then got men calling me out saying I was not curvy, I was fat.

I'm a size 22-24 yes I know I'm overweight but I've been much bigger in the past so I'm ok with where I am now. In the end I settled for fabulous. They can see me on my pics so they know what they are getting.

You've said you're large, and I think that covers it for me. I'm often puzzled by descriptives which, like dress sizes, have increased in line with the "average figure.

There and Here

My profile is currently hidden as I'm not currently looking to meet, but I chose ample for my descriptor. In my bio I state clearly that I'm fat, and from my photos people can see for themselves. I've given people the tools to decide for themselves so if they're disappointed when meeting me in person by my choice of a single word, that's on them.

I think it’s so hard to call yourself a certain thing as everyone views you differently. I put curvy for mine because I’ve got curves, some people would say I’m average and others would say I’m ample but curvy sounds nicer than both. I’d just go with whatever you feel comfortable with and not worry about it. I find people love so many different shapes and sizes on here and they don’t pay much attention to what you’ve labelled yourself in the bio xx

Lol! 'rectangle with a belly' is a perfect description of me.

Rectangle due to having a male body (legs are a little curvy due to odd genetic condition) and the belly... that I need to work on.

Here and There

I think it’s a tricky one. When I think of the different descriptors this is what I imagine (this is only my opinion):

Fabulous - Plus size, round, BBW

Curvy - Having large boobs and bum

Large - Tall, plus size, generally taking up a lot of space (I’ve used this for myself as I’m 6ft tall, large build and plus size)

Average - Middle of the road, regular clothes size, not particularly busty

Slim and athletic speak for themselves

If I’m honest I don’t often look at how people describe themselves, I just look at pictures.

You have to go with what you feel is right for you.

The 'fabulous' body type dates back to the 80's around tge time of 'The clothes show' - if I remember correctly - and was used as a descriptor for the much larger lady but with the emphasis being very much about feeling good about themselves / comfortable in their own skin - hence 'Fabulous'

I kept mine as curvy for ages to be fair but based on comments I would get (nothing negative tbf!) I realised it probably wasn’t quite right any more!

Use the word you find yourself comfortably identifying with.

I use fabulous. Other people will most definitely disagree but it isn't about how they see me.

I’m between a 16-18, 40DD and a shapely bum.

So I’ve put myself down as curvy but then of course I see someone who is a size ten with average boobs and a small bottom but themselves as also curvy lol

Maybe I should change it to fabulous or a few extra tyres in case of breakage lol

For starters as long as you love or respect your own body that's the main thing.

Secondly descriptions change over history forinstance when the site first came into being curvy meant hour glass figure however to many curvy now means overweight.

Thirdly descriptions mean different things to differing people.

Fourthly what do you prefer?

Sorry I can't help with the initial question. It's very subjective. I don't think anybody would argue with whatever way you want to categorise yourself.

I find it really hard, hence how I put 'average'

I'm 40" chest, 36" waist in guy terms, 18 on the top, 16-18 in a suspender belt and wear size 14 knickers in girl terms.

I'm slimmer than virtually every single guy I've ever met.

So yeah... 'average'?

Arg! Now I have loads of new desriptions hahahaha see this is where it gets me as words are so differently defined.

I agree about the curvy description you’ve wrote! People say oooooo I think you’ve got curves and I’m like no I have a fat arse and legs - I am not an hour glass I’m more like an equilateral triangle without the points! ??

I would describe Beyonce as 'curvy' as much as I would describe a much 'bigger' lady with the same word - I think it just implies you have a good set of hips and these words are used very loosely. But I'd also never meet someone based on the word they use to describe their body type so you're really looking too far into it!!

I describe myself as 'Athletic mum bod' if anyone asks haha. I'm strong and toned in places but also have jiggly bits in others.

We are all different and unique and that's what makes us beautiful in my eyes

Id also rather be more of a pleasant surprise in real life than a disappointment like meeting people that have snap chat filters in every picture and turn out to look nothing like that haha.

Id say worry more about realistic pictures of yourself than one word in your bio.

I've put large as I'm a size 24, with smallish boobs, huge stomach, fat arse, but smaller calves and arms

Basically, I look like one of those drawings kids do of the spherical body with little stick arms and legs.

Manufacturers don't make clothes in my shape, unless it's maternity wear.

I think it's difficult for a lot of people to guess what people class as a description. I see many profiles that say athletic but I wouldn't say that from their pictures. I struggle myself so went with average as that's how I see myself. I have lost a few stone over the last couple of years and I'm now a 50 chest and 36 waist.
