Sorry to hear that, but go easy on yourself. 99% of this stuff is in your head - everyone's had meets where it just wasn't happening or things weren't firing like they should... and others which you thought would be terrible but everything worked out fine. Might just be that you need a break from the lifestyle for a bit - this stuff is very intense, can be really overstimulating and comes with a lot of pressures. If you haven't already, go to the Dr's and get your testosterone and vitamin D levels checked. Mr M had a massive vitamin D deficiency...our Dr's put him on 40,000 ui of vitamin D a week. It knocked his confidence so badly that even once his levels were good again he couldn't get it up. Then we discovered Dragon tablets from our local Pulse & Cocktails shop...total game changer. they're a generic sildenafil product. Any of the generic blue pill brands will do the same thing.

The gel mentioned above is interesting, but I'd imagine getting blown after it's application might not be pleasant for the giver.

Doing a bit of research and reading the research studies on it , it would seem that the big plus is the rapid onset. My suspicion is still that the peak period of effectiveness is around 10 minutes after application and then declining to zero by up 30 mins, but I cannot find anything to confirm this.

The early study suggests effectiveness is maximised in those with mild to moderate ED. Later study suggests this is also statistically effective with moderate to severe.

It is interesting that Tadalfil 5mg was used as the comparator (which is the low daily dose) and not the 'on demand' dose of 10 to 20mg? It does also say that whilst Tadalfil scored better in terms of the strength of erection, the gel scored better overall largely due to being quick acting and with less side effects.

Regarding safety with partners it says that around 75% of the active ingredient has been absorbed from the glans penis within 5 minutes, with none remaining by 10 minutes and as a result there should be very little exposure to the partner via vaginal mucous membranes, assuming a ten minute delay prior to penetration. Obviously condom use would reduce that considerably further.

Only four cases of partner adverse effects in the trials.

I cannot find anything about how often the gel is recommended for use? In the trial participants had to leave a one week gap, but that is mainly to ensure there is zero chance of any remaining residual effects.

In terms of meets and given this 5 to10 minute onset, so the gel is applied during the meeting and therefore with the knowledge of the other person.

It is undoubtedly more suited to couples in relationships and where ED is an issue?

Very much a case of wait and see when opened up to a wider market which appears is now in sight in the UK.

I may be wrong but soft play for most just means no vaginal or anal penetration with a penis except with own partner. An erection for oral and wanking is still a usual requirement.
