Woke up to a message from a friend that our profile name is being mentioned in a status update. This followed a social and a decision on our part not to take things forward. This was communicated as nicely as possible, however the guy is pissed off and saying not so nice things…

We have been blocked by this guy so can’t report it / ask for the status update to be taken down. We wouldn’t even know the status update was there if we hadn’t been told about it. As long term paying members of the site this doesn’t sit well with us. Anyone know how to address this?

Contact fab admin and explain and if anything can be done it will.

When i have needed to speak to admin to ask a question about something on the site i just clicked on report and explained what i needed and had a positive response quite quickly. I’ve always found them very responsive and helpful.

Copy the URL of your profile, insert his profile name in place of yours, use the drop down menu to report the profile.

This will be much quicker than contacting admin another way.

Probably a very silly question with an obvious answer - how does one contact fab admin if not via a profile?

His profile isn’t coming up for us when we do what second poster kindly suggested.

Are you sure that the profile hasn't been deleted, suspended or hidden?

Thanks for the response on this.

The contact us option, where we want to report a concern about another user, takes us to a page that says we should block them…

Will go via the contact owners directly option. However all the while our profile is being ridiculed and insulted for anyone for to see!

We did messages from him. However deleted these last night. Will double check. Thanks

The contact site owners option says yellow highlighted text

‘If you have a problem with a particular member of the site then please report them using the ‘report profile’ link at the left hand side of their profile’

This doesn’t work if the member of the site blocks you and then uses their status update to attack and try and ruin your reputation.

Filled in the box to contact site owners, but as noted above the site is clear that isn’t what that box was for so worried it won’t be actioned

As I explained you can report someone who has blocked you. If you have tried what I suggested and the profile didn't come up you have either mistyped the name or the profile has been suspended, hidden or deleted.

Can you check with the friend who has informed you that you have the correct profile name?

I've just copied this from another post re a similar problem.

On the desktop version you can click on the profile and you'll see the "You can't view this profile" message.

Go to the blue menu on the left of the page and you still have the "Report User" and "Block User" buttons.

On the mobile version you can click on the profile and you'll see the "You can't view this profile" message.

Top right of the page, you'll see the Menu button, click that and you still have the "Report User" and "Block User" buttons."
