Actually reading profiles

Do people ever bother to read profiles or is it pointless taking the time to write one in the first place ?

We made a point of having a much smaller profile than when we were on the site before in the hope that the people who look at our profile may actually read it but alas sadly not lol

We still get winks from people with no pictures i mean what is this blind date then our favourite friend invites from people who haven't even got the good manners to send a message first and when they do its two words "nice pics"

Rant over i feel better now i've got that off my chest

awww, I know its tedious, but see the winks and friend invites as flattering. Im looking for a woman and constantly get winks and invites from guys, i just think they are appreciating my pics etc lol. Even had messages saying 'love your profile, have read it and I think I fit what you are looking for'........ my reply is.... read it again, properly lol x

Never been rude or had anyone be rude to me. Sorry you have come across it. Just block and ignore. ( im probably tempting fate now lol )

they send me a rude message back then wen i try to reply theyve already blocked me ??? how shallow eh ?? its always couples too and its always the single guys that seem to get the bad pres on this site pfff god i sound like victor meldrew dont i pmsl xxxxxxx

At he end of the day your profile has pics so wink away lol

We see winks as a smile across a room to see if there is any interest, if the couple return the wink then we follow up with a message including facepics and would like to think others do the same as we think that is good manners but each to their own

If someone has made the effort to write a profile, as long as it is not just a 1 line, I will read it. How else can I make sure that my message is personal to that person if I do not learn a little about them?

In short no.most people don't.whether thts cos they can't or don't like what they read and chose to ignore its contents is up for debate,instead of getting annoyed do what I do and just hit the delete message button if some one not suitable sends a message cos they haven't read your profile. They can't expect anything less cheeky chancing feckers .lol.bad poppyxx

Ha ha agreed! But sometimes the person will give you a hint/password half way through and if you don't use it in the subject of your message it will be automatically deleted. But then I am one of those with excess time on my hands, lonely and not seeking play meets. with a massive grin on my face!

As we were saying if you can't be bothered to read our profile then its simple don't wink or send a friend invite as you most definately wouldn't be for us lol

I always read profiles. I ignore random friends requests, I sometimes browse winks as that's just an ice breaker, if I wink back and they don't write then I don't follow it up lol. I fab pics sometimes instead of winks, if they want to reply that's cool if not Not to worry if I get mail and I can tell they have read my profile then they are more likely to get a reply decided tonight if one more person calls me hun I'm going to scream tho lmao

I always read peoples profiles...maybe I'm just nosy

I do have in my profile, twice I think, that we don't accept friend invites from people we've never spoken to, still get them every day tho!
