Hi, Mrs here... we are relatively new to the site and are on our way to our first meet soon (very exciting).

However, we've heard a lot about fake profiles and due to us being so new, we are worried (privacy and all that).

We understand that verifications and photo verified ensures you are speaking to, who you think you are.

Is it a given? Orshould we also be cautious with profiles with veris?

Any feedback or insight would be greatly appreciated

Verifications don't prove anything. Always use common sense. Assume nothing.

Good luck

Tbf ... if theres over a certain amount of veris I think it's safe to assume that that is the person on that profile.

1 hidden veri months or over a yr ago .. express caution.

Welcome to the site!

My profile looks new but I’m not. Was previously here as a single and a couple.

Agree with above re extremely old or hidden verifications, those are kinda pointless to me. If they’re displayed and recent then I’ll follow the “veri trail” to see if the profile(s) that verified them also look legit.

If all seems well then before meeting I’ll usually do a quick video call to make sure the pics they’ve sent match who they actually are today.

Above all else, as said above just exercise common sense and trust your gut feeling better to wait until it’s the right thing than regret a meet.

Many profiles have fake verifications. Experience should teach you how to spot the fakes. Some of them have several verifications, click on the profiles that have verified them and judge it.

Amount... Yes, but also look for when was the last one. If long ago, the profile may not be now what it was when it received all this numerous veris.

You are not verified either, so no point for you to just reject everyone if they have no verifications, so be open minded to the profiles without them, but be cautious and ask for a social first, or a video call, or ask them to send you a pic holding your profile name on a paper, etc... Legit profiles rarely say no to prove they are genuine. Fake profiles will pretend to be super offended. Don't fall for that.

Yes. I've been given verifications from people I've never met. They write them to catch my attention when messages fail. I've also been asked to write fake ones for people who like to collect them. After being here a while though these are usually pretty apparent.

You get a feel for a genuine profile after a while, indicators are they’re paid supporters, photo verified, have a decent well written thoughtful profile bio and supporting photos. Verifications are recent and from actual meets or parties / club event organisers (not just socials and ignore Cam veris - they’re worthless).

I find Couples that still have an active profile but only veris and pictures from years ago are usually just the husband perving now, the missus gave it up or left…

I cross check veris too - who verified them and what does their profile look like…

Then it comes down to messaging and then detecting the time wasters, single guys pretending to be a couple / single woman, dreamers, trolls…

Video calls n socials… veris mean nothing.

You’ve gotta just be realistic.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Can understand people not wanting to do a video call for various privacy reasons but we’ve had guys stand us up for socials a few times which is very frustrating as she always makes a real effort to look her best.

If they’re not verified by other couples fairly recently we won’t arrange anything with them now.

There are reasons for not wanting to have a verification video call, but I don't see why privacy is one of them, so I'd like to hear your view on that, maybe there's something we had not thought about. At that point, face pics SHOULD have been exchanged, so I can't see the difference "privacy wise" with going directly to a social meet where real faces will show, but with the extra waste of time if either part has been stood up (effort to look best also with the video call).

Just curious ,as not everyone is lucky enough to have been meet verified ?

On privacy a couple of reasons:

1. They can be recorded and in the future potentially used maliciously

2. There might be other people in the house and very difficult to get time to talk privately (especially for a couple with kids, or people sharing houses, apart from the obvious case of people cheating)

I think it's a bit ridiculous to say veris mean nothing. They don't mean everything but they mean something.

One or two veris from somebody with one or two veris mean little. But lots of veris from people with lots of veris can tell you a lot. For my couples profile we based a lot of meets off of veris and often know the people giving the veris. We don't have time for extended socials and don't want to do video calls. Veris and a few messages work for us.

Good point on 1, had not thought of that. About 2, yes I get it about privacy e.g. the kids being around, ours are old enough to overhear and wonder what's going on.

On the (extremely) rare occasions we have done a video call for verification purposes, we refuse to use it as a substitute of a social, we treat it as a 5 min see your faces event. So, on purpose we refuse to chat about swinging likes/dislikes etc. If a couple wants to chat about that, then they have to meet us in person in a social, or a social+.

And FWIW, things have never progressed with couples who requested a video call, it always seems they are looking for reasons not to meet, rather than meet.

It’s easy to screen record a video call and also if you didn’t have a burner phone then you’d be likely giving out your real number.

Surprised this isn’t obvious tbh.

It's obvious, now that you mention it, so I guess I did not think properly about it. We have rarely video called (long time ago) and only a few couples have our phone number (only couples we have been at their place before and are real friends).
