What's the best way to tell someone you're not interested if you don't want to go as far as blocking them?

Just be honest/polite with them, a simple thanks but no thanks works for me

There and Here

Depends on how far along things have gone.

If I've been chatting to someone for a while I'll usually just say something like,

"I've enjoyed chatting but I'm afraid I can't see it going anywhere/I'm not feeling any chemistry so I'm just going to leave it at that - all the best"

There and Here

An initial rebuffal will usually be a clear and simple "Thanks for your message but not for me"

Haven't had one of them from you yet

I guess googly eyed cocks made an impression

With couples sometimes there's chemistry and attraction but the practicalities don't work: where to meet, when, availability, safe sex, wanting or not wanting bi play, etc etc. we try to be honest anyways so in those cases we say that we find them attractive but we can't see it working for a meet.

If we do not find one or both of them attractive, we always say something along the lines of "we do not feel enough attraction to have a meet with you". We never say things like "we do not find one of you attractive", which would be truthful and honest in many cases, but totally unnecessary.

In other cases when our swinging diary is fully booked because we can need to keep a healthy balance vanilla/swinging, we say that and ask the couple to give us a shout in 2-3 months if still interested.

Feverishly checked to see if that was your reply to us, fortunately no

Regretfully I have a lot of experience in receiving such messages. Most of which are very polite tbf

“Hi, thanks for your message/messages.

Always believe in being honest so as not to waste others time.

Right now this isn’t what I’m looking for but hope you enjoy your time on Fab”

Unfortunately sometimes a block is needed all depending on how my reply is received.

I typically block people that I am not interested in, or that are not interested in me (shocking, I know - how can they resist such temptation?!). It just saves us both time and effort in the future and nothing sinister about it at all.

Very occasionally, I have continued to have had long chats with people even though we’re never going to meet yet we share a mutual (vanilla) interest, or whatever. But that is quite rare.

Any come backs I block.

So when a single woman contacts me, and I don't fancy her, I'd hate to hurt her feelings. So I go along with it, but just make sure the sex is really, really bad, so that she doesn't ask me again.

Am I doing the wrong thing?

Ghosting appears to be the done thing here, so I wouldn't worry about it
