Probably, but may not wish to mix a hobby with their professional life.

You might be best speaking to a more appropriate organisation, or even the police depending on how things stand.

What kind of professionals? Legal counsel? Psychologists? Therapists? Child services? Even police may get involved at times. Also, what kind of abuse? Current or in the past? I think without more details people won't be able to give you advice. Good luck OP for you or the person you are trying to help.
