There is a facebook page on the isle of man called " Are we dating the same guy isle of man" where lots of women are outing men having affairs, fair enough you may think but over the last couple of hours there have been a number of new members joined purely with the intention of baiting single males so that they can out them. Personally the large number made me suspicious that they may be fake accounts so ive blocked them all but since found out what is happening. Its just not cricket really, is it?

Fab accounts yes but not Facebook accounts. If you're referring to Fab accounts then you can report any suspicious ones.

Personally i did block all of them as it was extremely suspicious, but as a small island with small communities they are only out to cause carnage and out their findings on facebook. Although this is predominately for married men it can also effect genuine swingers to be outed to non site members.

Well of course but surely you see the possible ramifications, swingers being outed also? Its a small island, people may recognise swingers from their photos also? Some, im sure do not want to be outed as swingers or having people stumble across their profiles and knowing who they are. It could lead to people no longer having faith in the site and closing accounts, which would be a real shame. If you dont live on a small island i can see how you would struggle to fully comprehend small island mentality.

You could also report one of the profiles if they're breaking any site rules.

There are also things people can do to protect their privacy which includes filtering out new profiles and not having identifiable photos on their profile

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******
