"Not looking for single guys"

Ive been assuming this meant not looking for guys playing alone, but recently realised that the same profile might include looking for 'M' and that the ref to Single guys meant unattached guys looking for a girlfriend. What's the forum view?

‘Not looking for single guys’ typically comes on your profile when you block single men from messaging you, using your message filters. This could occur for a number of reasons but for me, I use the filters when I just don’t want any msgs from men I have never spoken to before. Generally speaking, I’m still interested in men, but just not looking for them atm (or looking for any more msgs from them).

I think there is a difference, in my case, my wife has lost all interest in intimacy, she likes to cuddle and kiss and I love her to bits, but I need physical intimacy too and she is very self-conscious about her body following surgery.

I try to reassure her but no amount of praise and attempts to boost her confidence seem to work.

For the purposes of Fab demographics you're a single guy.

People may not want to meet you given you're attached, which is their prerogative, but "single guy" in this case just means "profile of one man"

Probably because said couples don't want hoards of single guys messaging them. They may occasionally enjoy their company and choose to find one for themselves but it's probably not their priority preference.

This is great news for you though! We've seen so many comments from you about being ignored constantly, feeling rejected etc. Seems like you're starting to find compatible people!

Personally I'd feel even more self conscious if my partner was stepping out, but that's just me!

I think it is used because people receive too many messages from single guys - they know how to find us if they want one, or it is simply not what they are looking for at the time.

For sure.

It would be such a massive kick in the teeth knowing that my partner prefers meeting others instead of helping me break out of a routine of chores and maybe put mode effort into taking me out and helping me gain my confidence back.

So greatful that Dirk stuck by me through my cancer, at my very worst he didn't budge from my side and supported me in every way possible to this day while I deal with trauma of what happened, hormonal changes which pushed me into menopause, low libido, huge scar after mastectomy and massive weight gain from hormonal imbalance.

If he would be stepping out to get his rocks off - it would crush me beyond repair and I would likely completely lose hope in human decency and give up all together.

Why is it different in your case. There are 1000s of guys on here in the same scenario as you. So not really different.

You are here as a single male. The fact you are an attached single male playing without your partners knowledge will put many off

I always prefer the term lone rather than single for referring to attached people who are acting alone on the scene. I think especially for those of us who are unashamedly in relationship but who participate scene sometimes or exclusively alone. Not everyone wants to be labelled single when they are not and proud of the relationship their in.

That is not a difference in your case at all… instead of standing by your wife at a time when she is obviously feeling low, you decided to join a swingers site in the hope of finding sex without her… which you have done five times this year.

Totally see the viewpoint of those only seeking couples though, as swinging implies swapping partners.

We may get to that point one day, but not yet.
