Been reading about this new law under harassment laws and unsolicited nude images will be considered illegal. We have no issue with this and a simple delete for ones we didn’t request are easy to do. But it is a rite of passage that 90% of guys who message us without any contact beforehand seem to go through and we get inundated with cock photos we didn’t ask for. Often accompanied by either no message or a “want to meet?”.

Guys should start being even more considerate about it. Well, and girls but there’s way more guys doing it so worth considering.

Thoughts on this law?

I doubt this law will have any effect in Fab world. I can't see the police investigating a cock photo on a swingers web site, even if the site did hand over phone numbers so culprits could be identified.

There should be some algorithm that automatically posts the disgusting pic to the aggressors's timeline so everyone can see what type of person they are.

Happens on social media a lot, I think it's a great law.

I'm not sure how it would be upheld in places like this, there's always the option to hide site images if they were to cause you any issues & choosing not to I guess you are agreeing to seeing them, the choice is always ours.

I absolutely hate cocks in the inbox they annoy me, on people's profile not so as I choose to look.

Men will be men and think cock 1st as usual though

The CPS may simply not choose to take action. There are laws about exposing yourself and public decency, but those wouldn't apply on a nudist beach.

Same applies on this site where nude bodies are literally everywhere.

The problem is that most men are only messaging when they have their other head in their hands, just because they are turned on they automatically think that sending a picture of their member will make you want to jump out the bedroom window and hunt them down. Its a turn off if anything, i mean come on we all know what they look like.

Should be a filter on messages that stops anyone from sending random dick pics.

It happens on social media alot, I used to screenshot, censor and publicly share them. Or send screenshots to their partners if I could see they have one.

I've literally no chill and I've found it's helped slow the amount I get down and I can't remember the last time I got one

On here though, I can't see the law having any effect. The police are generally not accommodating to anything non-consentual happening in what they've perceived as a sexual space. I've known hundreds of women experience that within photography & modelling circles, SW circles etc. I'm sure men experience it too.

It's a step in the right direction though. Most people who just send genital pics without asking if you want one first, wouldn't also be flashing themselves in public, I don't think there's much difference

Just to clarify… we don’t care about it. We don’t have an issue with photos being sent to us. Just pointing out a new law was all. I think a few people who have messaged us about it think we were complaining. We were just passing information we’d see on to the forum for other people to be up to speed on

I wonder if sites along the lines of Fab will be encouraged to change their rules of use, be that a warning and wavering of any rights to report, or a warning to not send without prior agreement.

Something like that anyway.

It would be useful if Fab would install a button of sorts to prevent pictures being sent to inboxes unless it's accepted first, or similar to Facebook where images are hidden and they have to be accepted to view.

I can totally understand and agree with it on social media platforms and vanilla sites, not only could the pictures be sent to underages but unwilling recipients.

Here is a different matter in my opinion not that it's ok but it kinda goes with the territory unfortunately.

But there's ways around it with message filters.

We have just had a few days of hiding all site images and it's been quite good.

So that's also another option if this is a problem hiding site images in the privacy settings.

It seems like something that might be needed but will be rarely enforced. It's not ok to whip your cock out on an unsuspected person in the street, so why should it be ok on the Internet?

I think there needs to be a to be a certain amount of context allowed based on the platform or wider context of the conversation (if not already written into this law). For example if the message is on a site like this where sexual content is very much an expected norm I think that's fine. After all open sexual content is everywhere, including just the little profile pictures looking on the forums. The site is very clear it's for adults only and sexual in nature. Likewise if the platform was a naturist platform and non sexual nude image should be fine. Because a naturist platform is a space for people who are comfortable with naturism. Therefore it should be reasonably be expected that non sexual nude images are ok to send.

But also one would argue that if we are now using a specific law to ban unsolicited nudity online then we should be banning unsolicited strong sexual text maybe? Because some people can find unsolicited text filth just as inappropriate and distressing as a photo.

I see this as a step in the right direction, especially in terms of setting a social norm that it's not OK to send sexual images unsolicited or without knowing that's OK on general platform. However I worry it may lack a sophistication and nuance that could lead to people being unfairly prosecuted. We've seen simular potential issuses with things like the extreme porn laws. So as always the devil is in the detail.

I’d expect nudity and sexual themed pictures on this site, it’s primarily a swingers site. I actually want to see cock pics of potential meets, as well as other pics. I expect them to be sent.

On normal dating sites and social media, it’s totally unacceptable and the law should be enforced.

I think there is a bit of a cross over here where some singles are using the site as a way of meeting others for one on one type hookups and they don’t want to identify as swingers. I understand why they might have a problem with cock pics.
