why ask advice and then ignore?

It makes me laugh how many people ask advice and completely ignore it all! Mostly profile advice im talking about. I also know some people dont like the advice given or get offended but why ask in the first place if your not gonna take it on board?

One guy asked last week and got some good advice but has he changed his profile? Not one bit!

Just makes me laugh!

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

In the end they can only help themselves. If he is happy with his profile then thats fine. It is annoying though when they keep asking for advice, over and over.

Thats something else ive seen! The same people ask advice, do nothing and ask again a week after! Are they that needy? That just puts people off more surely?

Better still, the ones that ask for advice, its given, then when you check back it's ' user no longer on site'. Harsh criticism soon sorts the wheat from the chaff

Those repeatedly asking make me laugh - they obviously don't know what happens when you click the green arrow!!

Nothing against offering advice here - whether it's newbies or long standing members. But if they're expecting some kind of magic wand or formula - they'll always be disappointed!

You'll always do best being yourself - not what you think others want to see/hear!!

Because ultimately, just about every 'profile advice' thread is basically a plea.....'please look at me'

I have found in my life that every time I ask for advice I don't really want to hear the answer and usually completely ignore it..... then set about learning the hard way that the advice given was indeed sound.

Surely every single thread (and post?) ever is a way of saying 'look at me'.

Because they don't really want advice they just want people to look at their profile.

I agree we are all advertising ourselves and when we started our joint profile I listened to a lot of advice and it worked for us. I suppose that does show whos genuine as people do actually listen to what others have to say.

Its also right that people dont have to listen but if they did they might realise that they might become successful and have loads of fun!

Thats the point of fab, right? Lol

"Because they don't really want advice they just want people to look at their profile. "

There would be no need to ask for advice on a profile, if people read and used similar posts to gather information and advice others have given. The same things keep coming up and the same advice is handed out. There's even a "single guys guide" buried in the forums somewhere if they cared to look.

While this is true it does prompt the question why ask in the first place?

But equally I'm always a bit bemused when people take on every bit of advice thus creating a photofit profile that they hope will please everyone.

I always think that the people that will go on and be succesful here aree those that re-write taking on board the bits of advice that they feel are relevent to them. To me they are the ones that genuinely wanted advice.

Do you honestly think grown men, with the acumen to find the site really need the "what am I doing wrong?" approach? Of course not!

SOME men are so flipping lazy and unimaginative they join expecting cock hungry sluts to drop at their feet. It must come as a major shock to discover a montage of their cocks stretched along Sky remotes are not a winning formula that makes panties fall down!

Rather than look up other threads they start their own in the vain hope a cock hungry slut happens along!

I'm a newbie to this site. I don't understand why ppl need advice on how to write their profile.. Its clear what this site is for before they joined, so why the need to ask?

Ppl obviously know what they want or they wouldn't have joined in the first place?

Personally I think if you have to ask, is this place really for them ?

I think it's probably a cheeky and sneaky ploy to get Fabber's to look at their profiles... negative attention's better than no attention so they say

The thing is that some people register on this site and think that women will swoon at the sight of their cocks so don't particular bother with the profile, then moan that they aren't getting any meets so I agree that this really isn't the place for them

The way I look at it is why ask for some ones advice and not take. It just defeats the object.

Sometimes one just wants another opinion that's all. God how arrogant to assume you're advice should always be taken.

Newcastle and Gateshead

sometimes the advice given isn't what some want to hear.. so they ask again hoping to hear what they want to hear.....

in the end the only thing people can do is help themselves to help themselves.. and in that respect I am beginning to think more and more that no advice is the best advice...

people who really want to find a way will... be that thru reading topics.. or reading others profiles.... spoonfeeding doesn't make it better.....

There are those who only want people to agree with them. I agree, if that is all they want so that they don't feel they alone making the decision, then yes they are insecure and just winding us up.
