These threads get the same advice over and over so you will end up with a generic profile that doesn't stand out.

Sassy Lassie is right in the sense of not getting others to micro mange your profile which some do. But the broad advice you've got already is right - profile pic, some text that says something about you and a few more pics. Might as well give up if you can't do that as chances are miniscule.
