Dealing with sexual addiction?

I'm not sure if this is the correct place, within the forums, to write this.

If it is not sorry.

But I'm genuinely curious if anyone else has had to deal with physiologic sexual addictions?

Many years ago I underwent over a year of seeing a sexual councillor to over come my addiction.

She really helped and it took a lot of time to rebuild and "reset" myself.

I'm now in a position where I feel myself slowly drifting back towards that addiction.

I'd appreciate anyone who wishes to chat about their experiences and how you might have over come it.

Thanks x

Verbalise it…

Consider the pros and cons of your addiction - do you “want” to stop… ?and I mean the risky side of the addiction, not sex in general.

Revisit the advice given to you by your counsellor? Did you do any CBT?

Like any addiction it sits in the ‘chimp’ part of your brain.. even by writing a post on here you are starting to deal with it positively again.

Thank you. You are absolutely correct, I spent ages over lunch wondering if I should verbalise/admit I'm struggling again.

So yes this post was a means to start my discussion again.

I never had CBT... It was slightly complicated at the time with my work etc.

I'm trying to understand how much I like about "the addiction and if I want to stop"...

I class myself as more straight then bi, but love to dress up and suck and wank men off. Notice recently I can't get enough of it. Hoping to throw myself back at work to kerb it.

I would definitely consider CBT (if you can afford it) or if it’s offered by any counselling agencies for free..

If you have an understanding what your triggers are then you can go some way to combatting the all consuming cravings..

I find this site does me no good whatsoever for my own personal addiction..

I (mr) find that a wank cures the lust to seeing my wife with another man. I almost always think about the first strangers cut cock she took years ago

alternatively, CBT as another suggested

CBT maybe. Depends on your area really. There is a postcode lottery when it comes to what specialist therapists are in your area. Sent you a private message.
