In my situation boundaries are set from the get go. Plain sailing after that. We have become good friends though.

How often do you see each other?

Carlisle usually

Everyone is different. The dynamic between each dyad is different.

Communicate clearly and be open about what you want and don't want.

Good luck

Whenever we are both available. We do not put pressure on each other. That's one of the reasons why it works.

Been FWB for 2 and a bit years now. Started as FWB, had cpls profile but that didnt work we then fell into a relationship that neither realised had happened.

After a few hurdles we have FWB back, weekends away, holidays, events with family but always with friendship at the front. Thats what means most to us, yeah sex side is amazing and hopefully will be there as long as friends.

Neither of us been with anyone else yet and who knows what will happen bwtween is when that happens, but for now Friendship and with the Benefits is more important to me that a FB or one night of fun.

Personally this works for me as i dont want long term relationship with anyone so the dynamic we have works for me. Communication & being honest is the biggie for me.

Time will tell once or if we go with others just make sure to keep talking and i am sure things will be good. X

Thank you for replying. The way you have described it I am definitely not in a FWB as I first thought. It’s more like a FB as we don’t go out anywhere x

North West

When I’ve previously had fwb/ fb for me it’s just sex.

I make it perfectly clear it’s all about the sex and not the social.

For me, if I’m gonna have a fwb I’m socially with, friendly with, and love sex with, I might aswell date them. So I keep the 2 very separate.

Everyone does it very differently though. Just be clear about your wants and expectations and hope they do the same.

Thank you. It’s interesting to know different peoples perspective on the subject

I get that too and prob why we fell into relationship status when neither of us actually wanted a relationship. We respect each other but we want the freedom to be with others without the hassles if in a relationship. We have things we want to share ie. FFM and our dynamic at moment works. We have always said if we met anyone they would need to accept our friendship. I have enough respect for him that if he met someone he wanted relationship with then the benefits would stop but we would always still be friends x but time will tell x
