I've lost count the amount of times I've had that reply.

To me, anyone younger than my children is a no no.

Age preference is there for a reason

Its not just a number but the older you are, the more you have learnt and listened to by ladies, so not the wham bam of the younger, but certainly giving pleasure how the lady enjoys it

Totally agree preferences are there for a reason! We have ours set at the absolute maximum that we'd be comfortable with, there will still be people moaning that we're excluding them

I genuinely don't know why people say this. It obviously isn't 'just' a number. I look very different to a 26/36 or 46 year old woman, I act differently, have different social references and experiences.

I'd be much more inclined to meet a much younger person who acknowledged the difference.

Not to me.

I have my age preferences and find insistence either side just proof they don't respect my boundaries.

Age isn't a huge factor for us, we simply like who we like. However we have some kids who young adults now and so young adults don't feel right. So there is too young on here for us. Having said that from a social side we've met some very impressive young adults on the club scene who are a credit to the scene and likewise some who are still a bit immature.

We get this constantly from either side of our age limit. Normally “oh I’m only a few years out “

If we wanted a few years out your age we would have stipulated that lol

Everyone is different so yes. Some people retain their youth more favourably. Some people mature like wine.

It's only a number if you insist on ignoring that people know the type of people that they like. Such an attitude doesn't bode well for their seeming lack of understanding and interest in what the needs of their potential partners actually are though

"Everyone is different so yes. Some people retain their youth more favourably. Some people mature like wine. "

It's not just looks as you age but maturity of personality and sexual experience and technique. Personally I am so much better as a sexual partner at 55 than 30, particulate in a swinging context with groups. True of a great many ladies as well. However, no point in worrying about it as well all have our preferences. There is one big event on here advertising for "hot young studs 25-45" which makes me laugh as seen many young studs who struggle in groups and sure i could fit in but if that is what they want then crack on...

Obviously age is not just a number.

Equally, women that find me attractive for who I am and don’t make assumptions about my intelligence or maturity based on my age are my preference. If a woman didn’t want to meet a man my age, for any reason, she and I are not going to be compatible. Simple as that.

100% agree with you plus they go on to try to convince us why we are wrong to think like this...which just goes to prove their immaturity.

In clubs we chat and play based on how we get on with people and have been surprised at some above and below our age ranges so it's difficult.

But they are there on our profile as that's where we feel comfortable.

Age is just a number.

Its relevance to each individual is up to them to decide

Yes and no.

Age is just a number however many people have a preference and the same as all preferences, that should be respected.

We've set ours quite strict and have lowered our "max" a couple of times based on further experience. Doesn't mean we'd discount anyone, it's just a guide to what we are looking for

Actually people's preferences are their own and I accept this.

What I find annoying is people with a lower age bracket who can see my age but persist I'm looking at my profile anyway

Don’t they have to look at your profile to see what age you’re looking for?

I need to adjust my age preference aa Brenda Blethyn is 77. Although I'd only meet her if she used her Vera Stanhope voice for the entirety of the meet.

Yes logically age is just a number, however that doesn't mean we can't have preferences around what age of people we want to fuck.

I'm always going to have more in common with people around my own age.

Well, I’m 69 next birthday and it seems that I’m too old for many ladies even in my age group on this site. It’s never a problem in a club and I have chatted away so often without having to reveal my age.

Always happy to hear from single ladies interested in an older guy.

"Majority of the women here prefer the younger ones ?? "

Not at all.

We're generally unlikely to be comfortable with having sex with someone young enough to be our child or old enough to be our parent. Our age preference reflects this.

In clubs it's less of an issue, as you actually meet individuals.

I’m all for people having preferences when it comes to age, each to their own and all that. But what I don’t like is condescending/patronising comments being made such as:

“oh my god you’re a baby” or “you were still in nappies when I was doing X,Y,Z”

Both of which I’ve had said to me before. There’s a fine line between preferences and coming across as ageist…

Another reason why meeting in clubs is a go to, can be judge on face value and not preconceived notions or judgements about who I am based on a characteristic I have no control over

Mental age is more important than the years you’ve been on this earth. I’ve met some very infantile 50 year olds and some very enlightened 20 year olds.

It happens in reverse too. "I wasn't even born when you got married" . Guaranteed to make me nope right out of there

It's definitely a preference.... and for all the reasons said but I do find it hard to have a hard and fast rule. This is simply due to people and the huge variety of personalities out there.

I may find one 25 yr old captivating, cultured and a cracking conversationalist- whereas another may just have nothing to bring to the table.

Likewise someone above said .... sexual skill can also develop and improve with age.

So I see our age preferences a little try and fuzzy around the edges. (Cos I don't wanna fuck a child or my father )
