When do you think is an appropriate time to move a conversation off fab and into a different platform eg kik/ telegram/ WhatsApp?

When you have asked the other person and they have said yes. Be prepared to justify

On our case, whenever we get asked we ask back WHY? What's the need? Usually we do not get a convincing reason why we should use a different platform to chat.

I guess that depends who you're asking.

If I exchange a couple of messages and think there's something worth pursuing, I quickly move onto a difficult platform. Equally I'd have no issue with someone's asking me.

I do with some people if chatting regular. Also if someone I want to share videos and pics with as kik/WhatsApp is far better for that than here I think x

Yeah agree with above. I don’t move off here unless it’s to Snapchat to probe genuine (live video call without giving any contactable details away).

But I don’t see any reason the need to move it off of here

I prefer to move off here if all is going well, 3/4 way conversations are tricky between 2 profiles.

Not everyone wants to though and that's absolutely fine.

I struggle to understand people's need to take conversations off Fab. I am very protective regarding my private mobile number, feel this site is more than enough to chat and set up a potential meet. And what has not giving away contact details got to do with wanting to have sex with people???

With Telegram or Kik you can keep your contact details private I find it much easier to talk to someone there Though to begin with insist we stay on sight

It really depends on the individual. If I get lots of messages on Fab it’s easier to go on kik or telegram. If I’m arranging a meet it’s easier on another platform as I don’t always have access to Fab.

We typically move onto a WhatsApp group chat when we have a meet arranged or forge a good friendship - as long as everyone is comfortable of course x

Since we almost exclusively meet at our house, if they won't give us their phone number it's pretty u likely they are getting our address.

We don't do "chatting" but if we did, I can see how WhatsApp or kik would be much better than here for long term chatting.

For me you have to be a good enough fuck for about 5 years, then I might give you my contact details.

I made the mistake of giving out details when I was first on fab I learnt very quickly not to do it again, after having to change my number.

Why does the conversation need to be moved to another platform? Iv never really understood why seeing as fab works just fine, unless of course its couples who want to create a group chat butIf you ask someone to move and they ask why you want to move then you will need to explain your reasoning!

If meeting in a club then stay on here, if they don't turn up there's always other options.

If meeting other than in a club then feel phone number is imperative as may have bad coverage for possible last minute updates.

We were referring to folk who partner swap specifically. Sharing their partner but not their phone number... Being a single woman your situation is of course different.
