We have found that there are a number of members who post really great observations and topics on the forums..

Would a way to 'follow' here with notifications be a good idea?

Carlisle usually

Oh god no.

I have the follow option turned off whoever I can on other sites. The idea of strangers following everything I do is weird and uncomfortable for me.

Yeah! Utterly understand it was just forum posts tbh. As there's a number that we really appreciate their posts..

The stalker factor did occur honestly

Wherever

I hope it doesn’t ever happen, and I mean for safety reasons.

Unfortunately fab block doesn’t affect forum posts and if you happen to have a stalker, it allows them to trace your every move.

I’m speaking from my own personal experience.

Just hit the green arrow next to my name and add the page to your bookmarks.

Also they can interact with you this way.

As long as they don’t break any rules it’s easily done

Yes aware, we use it in both a 'we like what they're about' and a 'really they're not out type, avoid' context.

Totally get the 'stalker' feeling as has been mentioned but hasten to add this was a 'we like these guys, would like to hear what their thoughts are on other topics' thought, just as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

In a large part not in an aim to meet also..

Our misinterpretation.

The comments on our initial question stand though and obviously not detrimental to your input.

Again a familiar feeling..

Largely unless it's a 'rate my / would you / how big / my missus' post you can see the tumble drifting across the screen..

Shangri-La

There is a guy who I have never met and know. Who looks at my profile every hour for the last six months. Very creepy. I wouldn’t like people following me

If that was me I’d just block them.

Why be creeped out if you don’t need to be?

I love that though! The forum wouldn’t be half as much fun if you couldn’t serve ‘swerve balls’ to keep your ‘fans’ guessing…….

Middle England

I think like most things; if it's an option for those that would like it it's great and those that don't they can always ignore it.

As stated you can see what others have been posting/responding to and you get a list of updates from friends and people local anyway.

This site was written many many years ago; if it was being written today that would be fairly standard.
