pushy people

Last night we were contacted by a couple keen to meet that evening, I explained how we already had plans but would love to meet on another occasion they agreed that it may need a litte forward planning as we all have work and family to consider.

Fast forward to this evening and we receive another message to say how about meeting in an hour for a social meet and see how it goes. In the time it took me to text M and let him know we had received the message they had messaged again to say I take that its a no then.

I replied keeping it polite saying how as we had previously discussed we needed time to plan anything and also as there are 2 of us we needed to discuss and make a decision, so our answer was no.

Within a minute of them reading my reply they had put quite an offensive status clearly aimed at us stating it is a sex site not facebook and telling us 'pricks' to get a life.

I know I should be able to shrug it off but I hate to think I have offended anyone........Blocked them now

It annoys me that people thing I sit by the front door made up and dressed in sexy undies ready to run out to meet them at a moments notice.

Sounds like you are better off without them x

It sounds like they were just telling you what you wanted to hear when they stated they understand your other commitments etc. Obviously they have no consideration in reality, and expect you to drop everything for a quick meet with them.

Sounds like a lucky escape to me

I'm relieved we did, ironically we were talking last night and were both in agreement that we would like to meet them and with a bit more notice we probably would have done

I much prefer a social meet too, shame the couple who messaged me asking me to come to theirs at 5am didn't read my profile first

Some people assume that because they are free to meet then everyone else must drop all their commitments to have the privilege of their company.

People who make such assumptions are egotistical and ignorant.

Being pushy is counterproductive. Contacted a couple to meet recently and for various reasons it wasn'nt going to work between us for a meet. I was polite and not pushy, they were polite and OK, everyone is happy. One day in the future circumstances might change and as we left it on a positive note it might happen, you never know. It was nice to get a reply though, even if its s " no thanks". I can understand though that some women / couples don't reply to messages becuase even polite refusals result in s barrage of abuse, especially from single males.

I've been chatting to some people for over a year that for one reason or another I've yet to get round to meeting for either a social or fun!

There's no rush - we all have normal lives to contend with so anyone who gets pushy or has major expectancy problems will soon lose my interest!!

I can only be in one place at a time!!

Just tell yourself that the status wasn't aimed at YOU, it was just a reflection of the fact that they've just realised that they're not as gorgeous as they though they were

lucky escape...if they're that demanding in a message...just imagine what a meet with them would have been like!
