Dogging Ettiquette

Hi all just after some dogging etiquette advice. Recently in a car pro after dark well known for dogging. Only car there then another car pulls in, obviously two people in but couldn’t tell if male or female. There was no lights on internally or much movement at all. In the end we both just say there for a while, I left and then they kind of lady right after me. What are the in written rules of engagement?

I guess either they didn’t know the rules or were there for other reasons

If we want to be watched we always put the light on. If we want others to join in we always either have the door open, or we visibly move to a different area like a picnic bench or whatever.

To be honest normally it’s all pretty obvious

If there’s a woman/couple there looking for fun it’s obvious so just go over to them

From a couples point of view it’s hugely frustrating if you can see there’s someone hanging around but they don’t come over

But that's why it was called dogging.

Married men could leave the house late at night, and go to the local beauty spot / park, because they needed to take the dog for a walk.

But generally, I would wait for a clear indication (flashing headlights, interior light) before approaching.

It might just be a couple who have no privacy at home, not looking for an audience

Best thing that you can do is put your interior light on in the car for a few seconds so they can see who’s in your car.

If they like the look of you, they’ll make it pretty obvious that they want to be watched.

If windows are down, doors open or they are outside the car, this is NOT an invitation to join in. Ask first.

This, always ask otherwise could go horribly worng

This is sound advice. I'll just add, make sure THEY have put their light on, rather than it being done automatically.

I (Mr) was given some bad news a few months ago. That evening, I couldn't be at home, so Sally and I took a drive. We sat in a car park in the countryside. Unfortunately the car interior lights came on automatically when the engine was switched off.

We inadvertently sent a message to a guy in his car. He saw us and thought his luck was in. I needed to explain what happened, which both he and us found amusing. It certainly brightened my evening!
