we are taking the plunge and attending DV8 on the weekend, please can you give me any advice for first timers. What to take, what to wear is there lockers or somewhere to get changed into something sexy, or do people just turn up in underwear?

How to deal with any unwanted attention? As its first time we aren't entirely sure how far it might go but have set our own boundaries. Any advice at all would be great! Thanks. Xxx

It's best to check the club website to see the dress code and if there are lockers. For the clubs we go to Men dress smart/casual, Ladies a sexy dress as revealing as they feel comfortable. People are often wearing less as the night goes on, some Ladies dress down later into something more skimpy. You shouldn't have unwanted attention, people generally get the message by a look, body language or a few words. We would advise you stick together where possible. Take a little bag with condoms, lube and anything else you may think you need. Make sure you have a good chat before about boundaries. On our first time in a club we just played with each other. Take little steps regarding playing is what we tell people. Nerves will be natural, it's a surreal experience. Most of all have fun

Setting your own boundaries is the most important thing, and you have done that. Go with no expectation other than to have a lovely time with each other, amongst like minded people. Be polite, be friendly, feel confident to say no thank you, and just let the night evolve. Have fun

I haven't been to that club before so I would check out the website for logistics.

Just remember you do not have to do anything at all ever unless you want to. I love clubs and I've always felt safe.

We haven’t visited that club, but I know most have lockers. We chose pandora as our first club, mainly because it’s local and I like to get comfortable somewhere before I whip my clothes off

In regards to unwanted attention, just say you’re interested politely.

Thankyou all. Just found out it's neon night, so even more out of my comfort zone to dress up. Lol. Can I just do accessories. I had my "outfits" all planned.

We’re going to our very first club in a couple of weeks. We messaged a few people who’ve already been and left reviews and got some great info that way.

We’ve been to quite a few now and only recently received the best advice so far - don’t sit down ! As soon as you do you limit your options. Stand up and get talking. You’ll be surprised how many people feel exactly like you do. Good Luck.

This is such great advice. I haven't to been to a club yet either and will be going to Jaydees tomorrow for curves night as a single male. I've heard single males always have a hard time so i hope its not going to be like me standing there like a lemon lol.

Does anyone have any good advice for first time single males?

Thanks

Our advice would be to go with the view of just having a look around. Find your feet and see if it's for you. As others have said, be confident enough to say no thank you. The good news is there is always another party and that gives you time to talk after the event and can help build the fire. Of course you could just jump in and see where it goes, pitfuls are possible but it's your lives, not ours! Above all enjoy yourselves and good luck

There is no harm going on your first night and just watching and getting the lay of the land. When you arrive mention it’s first time to a club and you will get a tour and the staff will have a chat with you

I would say take some condoms and lube just in case. As nothing worse than finding another couple to play with and can’t. Also no means no, if you speaking with people be honest and say it’s your first night. It’s actually a good ice breaker

Don’t have too high expectations as it’ll make you nervous if you are expecting too much, just expect to go for a look around and get comfortable with the situation and then anything else is a bonus.

Simple way to deal with unwanted attention, just say no, it’s very rare that anyone experiences unwanted attention at a club though as there are ways to make it obvious whether you want attention off someone or not.

Condoms and lube is all you need to take with you, you’re prepared then for if you do decide to get involved haha.

It’s good that you’ve set your own boundaries so make sure you stick to them, you can always move them the next time you go but i think it’s best to have the same boundaries at the end of the night as you had at the start.

And most importantly, have fun!
