Brutally honest profile advice

Jump to newest

Right I've been lead to believe that I need to start one of these instead of replying asking for advice on my profile in other threads so apologies.

ive been on here before as a couple many years ago now and once when admittedly I wasn't putting any effort in as a single male (you get what you put into these things and i wasnt then).

I just want some advice, I'll be honest my strike out rate is quite high compared to the small amount of messages I send to people, I only send a message to people i like the look of from their profile and not just sending a huge amount of messages. Those messages aren't just a one liner or generic either and always after I've read a profile first.

Basically any help would be greatly received. I'm not the best at selling myself nor with writing so no excuses from me but that I'd imagine will be stuff that you'll spot that I've probably missed.

Many thanks guys for any help or advice I'd really appreciate it.

The text on your bio is ok, but your photos are very repetitive. For some reason pants photos turn me off haha… any nice torso or full, body ones? One in a suit, perhaps? Or wearing a white shirt holding a belt? That one is done to death here on Fab but seems to do the trick!

Try and get some verifications mate, whether that’s through WebCam. Or Club meets/socials

If you search the forums for "Advice for single guys", we created a thread a few weeks ago which might give you a good starting point.

Oh that's a great idea! I'll change the pictures up. Thank you for the advice.

Boring photos (pants are just shite, congrats you’ve just replicated 90% of single male profile pictures that aren’t of a cock) cheesy lines in the bio, scanned it, too long.

You’ve got a good body so there’s potential for some enticing pictures, put some effort in. Groom yourself, look spotlessly clean and tidy. Have a look at some guys profiles who do well, understand how they sell themselves, set themselves apart from the low value males on Fab (brutal I know but you are in competition). Understand women, they are not men. They like faces, suits, dress shirts, arms, bums and backs, arty shots that communicate confidence, masculinity, success, mystery, humour used sparingly.

Go to socials

Good luck

Brutally honest is what I asked for and need and that's what's you gave.

Really appreciate that you took the time. I'll work on the pictures, embarrassingly i work in a cretive industry haha

Ill try to lose a lot of the humour (I'm quite a sarcastic hunours person so what is humour to me probably doesn't transfer well on here).

Again thanks for the reply, have a great day.

The pulling the underwear down reminds me of a little boy going to potty.

More manly poses required. The surprise in the package is not all that surprising on a site full of penis pics.

I like lathered up hot bodies, or just a standard "here I am, gorgeous and confident in my skin" type photo.

As above, photos repetitive.

Bio far too long. I gave up reading very quickly.

I've literally just changed mine to a few sentences as no bugger reads it anyway.

Your header line is misspelled and grammatically incorrect.

I don’t really care, I’m not the grammar police but as it’s the first thing people read it may put some off before they go any further.

Very, very long bio.

Boring pictures, repetitive.

Good luck.

I hate profile advice threads! 99% of the time it's some socially inadequate bloke who is clueless about real women. People give tips on how he should lie on his profile to get laid.

You OP are in the 1%. I'd genuinely leave your profile as it is. It shows you, a real person, not some shite that people told you to write.

Maybe look in the Meets forum, there's a Manchester Lounge Social thread. You'll meet people there and get some veris.

Nobody’s asked him to lie, or pretend to be someone he isn’t- only how to present himself better. The Manchester socials are a great suggestion though

Ok i say something different from others. None of your photos show any of your sex appeal. It might as well be a family photo collection apart from the butt which is very plain, no sex appeal in that pose.

Your bio is too long winded for women who have a million a week to skim read.

But profiles are not everything, it's whether you make a connection with the person you're engaging in. I love sexy, confident but down to earth gentleman types. They're extremely rare on fab but when I get a chance to chat to them, it's a joy and only reason I stay on fab after all these years

Back of the bins.

Profile is ok, with messages, make sure you’re what the person is looking for and you write a message that comes across as if you’ve read their profile.

Profile 'advice' threads in general do.

If someone changes their profile to match what people say they should do, that does not reflect them personally.

Pretty much what others have said. A couple of body (flesh) shots, perhaps. They don't have to be dick pics, but have one ready in 'private' in case it's asked for.

Get along to a social or two, to kick start your veris.

Your bio has quite a few typo's / grammatical errors, which matters to some, so you might as well correct them. If you struggle with this, copy and paste into Word, or something that will highlight / correct for you and then copy and paste back in. All the best.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I think I sort of get what I could be do differently or better at I guess.

I've put some new temporary photo's up so they are by no means what id like to have on my profile but busy week etc etc.

I'll go and work on all that now but really appreciate the advice.

The photos look fine, and I assume that you have updated the profile since others have commented. And without wishing to repeat whist others have suggested I might add that you might wish to check the line about coming. Do you mean cum or come? It could mean two things, one being not able to meet which gives off married vibes. The other, cum, might mean that the person may have no signal when the meet is done and how to stop it without being rude if they’re done/not into it. The line might throw up more hurdles than is necessary given the dearth of male profiles on the site. You might also wish to check the spacing and spelling overall.

Good luck!

Miss

I've changed that part now and just been brutally honest to the reasonings why, if that puts people off then so be it.

I'd probably wouldn't want to meet anyone who did understand that anyway.
