Weight loss/confidence

I’ve lost a large amount of weight over the last year (6 stone) and gone from a size 24 to a 14 which I’m absolutely thrilled about.

However I’m starting to see the effects of the loss on my body like looser skin/sagging, especially my stomach that does hang down a bit. So even though I’m considerably smaller I’m still feeling insecure about my shape.

I feel saggy and wrinkly and it’s bothering me, I still have a few more stone to lose and I swim for long periods time 4 times a week.

During meets, although I do enjoy myself considerably, I always have it in the back of my mind that I have these wobbly bits and worry that it’s putting the people I’m with off.

Any one else felt like this? I’m not sure how I can overcome these annoying niggling thoughts?

Ironically, when I was bigger I wasn’t this insecure, I kind of just accepted that I was fat and just got on with it.

You must have worked very hard and been very focused to lose weight successfully. Well done to you (in a non patronising way)

I can't advise you on regaining your confidence but you should accept that people are with you because they find you attractive .

Firstly i think you look great but i get the confidence thing. I recently got a coach on Instagram called "revival coaching" they wer absolutely brilliant and got me onto weights with a proper program etc although i play rugby i have always been one of those players that only only shows up to the games lol check them out if you like i found it very helpful

I regained cos I couldn’t cope with the skin thing (and other reasons.) In retrospect, nobody else noticed the way I did.

You are not alone, you are still gorgeous, and the right people will show you how amazing your body is.

You look incredibly sexy. Hard as it is be happy with what you have achieved ( swimming is fantastic) if you could sort out the bits that are making you feel insecure would you then start picking away at something else ??

It's a big weight loss and and fantastic boost to your health. You look fantastic. So just enjoy

Hi sassy. I’ve lost quite a bit of weight too and seriously going to consider a tummy tuck and boob lift once I’ve lost a bit more and maintained for a while.

I know most people wouldn’t consider this but we’ve got to feel good about our bodies xx

I've lost 8st recently and understand where you're coming from. I've had to get used to my new body and what it can and can't do!!

And I definitely need new sexy underwear and pics!!

I think some underwear would cover the wobbly bits until you feel more confident? X

What an amazing achievement, Mr here, I have a real confidence issue with being over weight, Kate always looks amazing... if I could keep a shirt on then I would.

You look amazing, but the lingerie in the 2nd July pics also looks amazing, maybe wear lovely outfits that you can feel comfortable in until your confidence grows xxx

You’ve done amazingly and I totally get where you’re coming from- I’ve lost a lot of weight too though I’m not done yet either. We shouldn’t have to cover up, but lacy bodystockings and basque type things have helped me feel more confident. Just try and remember that anyone who’s at the point of undressing with you already finds you attractive, and most likely has their own hang ups to worry about too!

Ive been though this about 2 years ago. I lost over 7st, I personally lift weights. That has almost filled my 'loose skin' out. I bathed in bio oil or the cheaper version from wilkos. I still have a bit of loose skin. I think it takes a while to adjust to your new body. I did a photoshoot and I felt INCREDIBLE but I know that might be someone's nightmare. X

Girl, your body is absolute goals!!!

I keep saying I’m going to start giving weights a go but never have time because I swim so much. I also like that I hidden under the water with swimming (and can’t get red and sweaty either!)

Honestly I’m at the end of weight loss journey having lost 11st last year. I felt exactly the same as you having gone from a size 22 to a size 8 it was my tummy, thighs and boobs.

I ended up going for skin removal surgery - it’s not for everyone and I know some people just don’t have the choice I did. Hopefully off to my first club since healing in the next two weeks with my partner and I honestly feel fantastic about it.

Yes I have visible scars from it but you know what, they’re war wounds and show the journey I went on.

I fuck in the dark then I don't need to see my body and nor does he. Drink abit of alcohol to relax then enjoy the sex?

Nobody should feel anxious about having a few wobbly bits. Enjoy the body you have. I have saggy man boobs and a bit of a beer gut, but it is what it is, and most importantly, it is me. A lot of people won't find my body attractive. ( the fact I have been on Fab for a year and not had any success and zero meets backs that up), but to the OP, and everyone else who dosnt have the perfect body or a god or goddess, just enjoy what you have.

Love the skin you are in. That’s all any of us can do. In fact there’s a YouTuber obeseToBeast who was on Ellen show where they offered to help him remove his loose skin. He lost son much weight getting into shape. He refused the offer stating his body and skin remind him of the effort and journey he put in to achieve results. Change your mindset. Be proud of your loose bits because you worked hard to get them x
