Protocol on face pics?

Is there a "usual" way that face pics work?

I've been through a number of profiles that state that messages without face pictures will be ignored - rather ironic when they contact us first, without face pictures!

And then the ones that message us asking us for face pictures, but will "reciprocate" if there is a match????

LOL

I get there are very popular profiles out there, but surely swinging is a two way street, right?

How do you be fair, but not just send your face pics around to people that won't send theirs, or won't follow their own rules?

All views welcome - help me understand!

If I’m interested in someone and I message first I’ll send a face pic.

I don’t reply to men who don’t include them.

Only return if I like their pic lol x

Ha! Fair enough. I guess the dynamic with single men is slightly different as there are so many of them.

I don't mind sending a face pic to someone that I'm finding interesting if they ask. Anyone demanding one can fuck off

This.

We'll swap a few messages first to make sure we're genuinely interested, even if they've sent one with an opening message.

So far (touch imitation wood) the chat hasn't ended when we've sent one. Some convos have fizzled out, paused for a while or gone quiet, but we don't see the need ever to rush to swap pics, given how infrequently we can ever look to meet.

Do what suits you. Not anyone else.

We always say we like to see who we are chatting to so we will send our face pics when we are genuinely interested in someone and ask if they have any to send.

Personally we would love to be able to just be completely open and have our face pics in our public photos but I know for a fact that an ex friend of mine who turned out to be a complete psycho bitch is sometimes on here and I do not want her to see me on here because she would use my photos against me, she already stole private photos from my phone (while we were friends), created a Facebook page with said photos then invited all my family and friends to it plus tried to lose me my job my calling them and telling them about the page, I was a school crossing patrol at the time. I only found out after that she’s got a history of doing this sort of thing to people. She lost custody of her kids because of her mental state and yet has tried to make past friends lose their kids by making up lies to social service which she did to me. As I have a job that relies heavily on my reputation I can’t have her knowing for sure it’s me. It’s such a shame really

If I contact someone first then I will send a face pic if I get a favourable reply.

If I am contacted first (it has actually happened!!!) then I will send a face pic with my first reply.

I think that is fair and I don’t think that is fair to expect one from on my first contact especially as I take care and time to write each and every message I send and don’t just put any old one liner down. I know that us single men are 10 a penny in here, but I do expect a little courtesy as the courtesy afforded me will be returned with interest.

I think we might prefer to do things different to most.

We like to chat here, a little (when we're seeking), to find we have similarities, and if both sides are interested in going further, we like to chat over the phone to be sure we're like minded, set boundaries and discuss expectations, if all are still interested, we're happy to swap face pics via WhatsApp.

This way can put a few off, but hey that's ok, it suggests a lack of comparability is all, and from the near beginning.

It means we haven't sent face pics unnecessarily.

I generally send after a message or two, if someone messages with face pics I'll return.

I want to see pretty quickly tbh my time is precious & I don't want to waste it with endless chat to receive a photo and think nope not for me, it's just awkward and a huge waste of everyone's time.

I'm very visual I need an attraction and that does include the face as well as personality.

I was the same when I met couples.

Pointless wasting time or enjoying sexy chats with someone you don’t find attractive IMO xx

My face is my best feature, but I don’t want to flash it about too much. I also like to see the face of the person/ people I am talking to, but respect that they might not want to. I don’t know what the answer is, along with many other things today!

I'll add, it's also very rare that we send a message of interest first, and it is expressed in our bio how we like to do things.
