I think they do work, but mainly for people visiting an area. Those who are already from the area have probably discounted themselves as unsuitable, after reading your profile. Also, the remaining locals may have contacted you previously, but you've indicated you aren't interested in them.

There may be numerous profiles on Fab, but the pool of potential local meets is minimal. I'd suggest you continue posting meets and see who may be visiting. Especially as two of your meets are on Thursdays, when a company rep may be staying nearby.

I understand people change their minds etc but to keep saying you're interested and wana meet. But when I do show real interest, they ghost you or say they can't make it. Such time wasting

I find it easier placing a meet if I'm attending a club usually.

Try placing them on the day or night before so your not lost if others place them xxx

I always put meets up when I’m going to a club. I then generally get loads of messages asking me if they can take me to said club and I must want company.

We have met people from meet ups advertised.They seem to work less in recent years if we are honest.Club meet seem to work much better as do hotel meets.

Just created a couples profile with my FWB and looking at the winks and messages we are getting, i think that posting a meet will be successful especially if we were looking for a man.. on my single male profile it really wasnt worth posting anything

Astonished that you’ve been let down, not much hope for the rest of us! We have met one guy for a social coffee, but otherwise we have met people at Clubs - it is just easier. If they turn up, great, but if not then something or someone else to do

We definitely get less decent responses when we post a meet than we did in the past. Don’t think it’s due to anything other than more and more people using the site are using it for something other than arranging meets! Nothing wrong with that but it’s certainly different to how it was when the site started. There are a lot more “just here for the forums” and “yay made it into page 1 of the hot photos” than there used to be.

They’ve never worked for me, in over 10 years of using this site. But then; I am a solo guy.

I have solo female friends in here who never fail to get a meet when they list them, including hotel meets whenever they’re away, and fair play to them! I only get a taste of having so much choice in here when my message filters are open to single males….
