Be yourself. We’re not as scary as everyone thinks.

There’s plenty of women on here, but you may struggle if you can’t speak to them. Remember, everyone is human and has hang ups.

Talk to us the same way you talk to men. Be friendly and willing to listen as well as talk and it will go a long way. And send a face pic with messages. Good luck!

Ask them about themselves. What is their job, what type of music do they like, favourite food, hobbies, favourite type of film...that sort of thing can open up conversation

Same as the advice above, take an interest in them, ask them questions, look interested, make a joke or two to make them laugh, share some of your interests, just think in your head, you have nothing to lose but only to gain

As daft as it may sound, they're not a separate species - just talk about them, you, your day, your interests, random facts about fish...

Random facts about fish ! "

The common European monkfish is a type of angler fish - it has a lure atop its head. When this is bumped by another smaller fish, prawn etc. the monk immediately snaps it's mouth open and ingests the water above (and whatever hapless creature is in it. It's a mechanical reaction, and incredibly fast.

That's the sort of chat that has women swooning

That's the thing though, why imitate conversation to make em swoon if all you need is experience talking to the ladies?

Herrings burp and fart to each other to communicate their positions in a large shoal.

Why indeed.

I didn't know that about herrings.

I never found it difficult to talk to men and my conversation is littered with random gardening chat and inaccurate historical observations. They either wander off confused or get bored into submission

And then you pounce!

I'm realising that my wife is a very patient woman.

Some whales can get sunburn. Wait, that's not a fish!

The common eel always returns to the Sargasso sea to spawn. That's not a fish either.

The male seahorse carries the young. Still not a fish.

Guess I've run out.
