Does anyone no of the best way to fasten the suspender straps. I restle with and try and pull the clip back but can i stretch them to get them to connect with the stocking. I'll spend time trying to hitch the back nob to the top of a hold up by about an inch. I struggle then i end up sweating and then i want to have another bath lol.

Can't you try good quality hold ups ? Saw a photo recently of the said straps connected to a lady's labia. That made me sweat at the very thought of it

I've found normal suspender clips don't work well on holdups as the material is thicker with the silicone backing.

Either use traditional stockings, or get some metal suspender clips which seem to work better.

It's a real pain now that it's hard to buy packs of stockings, I often end up with hold ups (which don't hold up on me without the suspenders).

Never had much of a problem doing suspenders clasps up when wearing holdups....just ain for the fabric inbetween the silicone.

Someone I knew used to attach the stockingsto the bbelt before putting either on then out them on like a pair of trousers

I hate them! Have recently tried the attach them first method and that works pretty well. Drives me mad all the pinging off!

Same here, i'll walk thru town

and by the time i've got to my destination or a guys house?! i need to b excused and just hope they don't notice they're around my ankles.lol. But I am wearing straps from panties. Perhaps wearing these with hold ups doesn't help? There's quite a length of silicone where do U fasten the clasp.

From my experience, try fastening the rear most suspender straps first, then work around to the side, then the front. If it seems to fiddly, then try relaxing the tension on the strap with the adjuster and after fastening all straps, re-adjust for the corret tension. This works for me, and has done for the last 33 years ever since i startred

easy way is...first lay your suspender belt fastened on the bed. then clip the back straps to the back of stockings, sill on the bed. then do the same with front straps. check they are all laid correctly, now sit down and step into them like you would knickers, but put your feet in first and wriggle them up your body, smoothing stockings out as you go, Norah Batty look isn't good. much easier than killing yourself twisting round to fasten backs, and I'm double jointed and can't do that x

Hard work to get seams straight this way, although it avoids fiddling about, lol

I do the same, although sometimes the back ones end up a bit wonky when im rushing. If i could have it my way id have a sexy man to fasten them up for me all the time instead.....Ah well i can dream!

I dont ever use hold ups and buy the 10 denier lace top stockings from a well known High Street store with a name much the same as suspender - not sure if im allowed to name them

I dont ever get problems with them on various suspender belts.

I think your problem is that you are trying to use hold-ups.

I dont ever get problems with them on various suspender belts.

I think your problem is that you are trying to use hold-ups.

i put the belt on 1st

sit on bed + put stockings or holdups on

attach fronts

stand+attach backs

No problems ever.It's all about a good suspender belt.LOVE THE LOOK + so does hubby....+ evrybody else we meet

hold up stockings tops too thick for sussies. just sit on the bed with sussies on lift leg in air, slowly roll your stocking from toe to thigh very sensual then slowly attach to sussies. Its all in the flick action once learnt never lose it xxx Cat

I wear them all the time at work. In fact, all the time when I wear a dress or skirt. Never been an issue. Buying quality ones of the right size helps.

Use a proper suspender belt and stockings with a decent welt not hold ups.

The buttons on the suspenders are better if they are slightly rubbery not the hard plastic.

You can get surprisingly good stockings from primark and the seamed ones have a great welt that stays up well on curvier legs - if in doubt get the larger size.

If you are determined to wear hold ups with suspenders put a tiny nick in the welt with a pair of scissors and hook the button through that.

yes thats what i have to do as im a shortie with a bog backside its hard to reach. so i attach the back ones to the stockings then put them on and attach front fastenings. much easier

the normal belt is a pain in the ass but i bought a 6 strap one and they go no where which is good and easy to strap on, check ebay , they are cheaper and more choice.

The clips on metal suspenders are much better as they are thicker..I bought a beautiful 6 strap suspender belt and I wear it with hold ups...they clip in easily and everything stays where it is supposed to..Oh and the gentlemen seem to love the belt...

Get decent suspender belt. It makes all the difference.

Being a large girl I can't wear hold ups are they just don't make them for me. Well unlessI wwant them about two inches above my knee.

What I want to know is why stockings seem to be made to finish half way down your thigh. I like them to go all the way up my leg. But then suspenders are too long. I don't mind about 2 inches free at the top but more than that seems silly.

High quality suspenders with metal clasps wins every time!

You can't beat proper stockings and there are a few stockists that do proper stockings for real/curvy ladies. Proper stockings don't really stretch so you have to get the size that fits you properly which is great - see stockingshq dot com. The do good value products that last - depending on what's going on!!

Fastening back first then front works for me.

After all the reply postings it would be great to hear how you get on.
