Do you use protection or preform oral for meets?

Hey I’ve never had a meet I was looking for advice when I get one. I know about condoms for safe sex but what about oral? Is that something you use a condom/dental damn for? Do you not do oral for meet-ups?

Thanks

Having a blowjob with a condom on is about useful as tits on a fish.

If a woman asked me to put 1 on for her to give me a BJ, I'd tell her forget it then.

Never ever seen a dental dam thing either. Just sounds like texture would be awful so she could go and whistle if she had 1 of them in too.

Lol you make a good point there I imagine it wouldn’t be great for both parties

You should do what you feel is right. There's a definite risk to unprotected oral.

I've given oral with a condom on the guy, it wasn't great because the teat kept making me gag.

Hey OP. I use both condoms and dental dams for oral. It not for everyone but it's never been a major problem for me, men still seem to enjoy my bjs a lot, and if they don't want to, that's fine to. No pressure. I also find you can go straight from a bj to inside me much faster and with less messing.

As for dental dams, most won't use on so I often skip over receiving oral but there are other things to be done.

It's whatever you prefer to do on a meet and about everyone's comfort.

Tbh I prefer a condom for giving unless we've had some kind of serious grown up convo abt testing etc etc. I had a non-exclusive buddy for a while who was v into experimenting and making clad bjs fun for both was one of the things he generously tolerated me practicing (there were swaps, it was all good).

Dental damms I have less experience of but they are fucking amazing for breast/nipple play. I discovered that with someone who used them with non-exclusive partners during menstruation (he was right, it's slightly less safe for those giving then). Tbh they are worth buying just for that. No particular added safety unless anyone lactating. But the texture is great!

For me it's nicest if everyone defaults to following the safest preferences in the room. Feels more relaxed and liberating in my limited experience. xx

Sometime ago my dentist had a poster on the wall of the surgery about throat cancer. When I asked about it (he always does a check during a routine check up) he said the main cause now (it was smoking) is thought to be oral sex, related to HPV. The numbers dying from throat cancer are worryingly high.

In my experience condoms seem to be the "norm" for vaginal and anal but not for oral. It isn't logical because gonorrhoea and chlamydia are easily passed through oral. It should be standard but it isnt. I don't mind oral without and I get throat swabs regularly but I don't know anyone else who does that.

There is an HPV vaccine available now, I’m not sure about availability for everyone but I believe it’s being given in schools. You can probably get one if you pay.

All should get regular checks up at the clinic for the obvious reasons but it's also where you can ask questions about things you're not sure about and get facts.

You can (and I have). It covers a few (4ish?) of the forms most associated with cancer (of tens!). But most adults have/had some of those so not (wasn't) available on NHS to grown ups.

I splashed out (so to spk) on tests for lots types and only had the vaccine as negative for all.

Things might have moved on since then...

Near Maidenhead

Pasante Taste flavoured condoms are good. They were recommended to me by one of the women at Bi Fun Club. She buys boxes of 144 off Amazon.

Skyn Elite condoms are softer without latex.

Durex Perfect Glide makes it nicer.

I'm the same as you. I test regularly and always do throat, vag and anal tests but I'm not sure this is as common practice as it should be.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't help chuckling to myself about the teat.

You can get it if you pay but it isn't routinely offered to adults as it is meant to be given before you are sexually active.

It is estimated most people over 40 who are sexually active will already have had hpv at some point. Normally your body will get rid of it itself with no ill effects but once you've had it the vaccine is not effective.

I would just not bother with oral at all either way if a dam/condom was needed ..and just get stuck into fucking instead .. though mostly its a thanks but no thanks and move along

each to their own on what levels they are comfy with .. the poster above is correct most adults over 25 that are sexual have HPV at some point or a varient of it . its super common and only a couple of strains of it are problematic ..

Never used protection during oral. Never caught anything. Wouldn't enjoy it if I did anyway

Cap d’Agde, France

STD’s are the downside of swinging, most have no symptoms so regular checks at VD clinics (it’s free and anonymous) are essential.

We go twice a year to our local one in Beziers, France.

On first name terms with all the Doctors and nurses now, includes a chat about sexual habits and partners followed by a blood test, urine sample and throat swab, plus kept up to date on vaccinations.

Last visit earlier this month included vaccination for Monkey Pox, plus top up for Diptheria, Tetanus and Polio and next visit includes Hepatitis boosters.

Although condoms and dental dams can offer most protection it’s not always practical or sexy so getting regular checks is the next best thing.

whatever you do you should get down the sti clinic for regular testing or use a test at home kit available free in some areas, ask the clinic it is totally confidential and not too intrusive. You get result by text message.

I get tested regularly when I am meeting people and for 6 months after.
