I want to get verified but not getting much traction and quite shy to make any moves. Any advice, profile or otherwise would be appreciated.

As TightandWet said….fab socials….that is how I started….contact the organiser…most organisers will be supportive and help. Just remember it is a social, not a meet. The other option is a club. I have been in your situation, just got to take a deep breathe and take the plunge…

If I were you I would shift my focus and stop worrying about getting that first verification.

The more you get hung up about it, the worse it will get.

You'll find yourself posting statuses about it, mentioning it in your profile and even stating forum threads about it - practiacally broadcasting it - and anyone you get in touch with will see how focused you are about it and will think that you're only interested in meeting them to get your green tick and not because of who they are etc.

Not everyone requires or demands that you be verified, so just relax

Looks like you now have a verification, so you can see it that changes anything for you.

You are lucky that you've got a superb, friendly welcoming club where you live, so I'd definitely give that a try one Friday. The chance to chat to loads of people from the Swinging Community and see what goes on is definitely worth considering. Look up AtlantisEVOLUTION in the Burslem area.
