colour.....

Hi all,

Exchanged messages with a nice couple recently,sent face pics and so on,but then they requested a colour picture otherwise things would go no further.....is it just me or was that odd?

Is it time to ditch the black and white gallery?

Maybe they wanted to check 'it' didn't have any purple spots or green growths?

Unless you are in fact monochrome in real life hardly fair to remain in black and white as it covers a multitude of sins and is hardly representative.

But you don't unless your skin is grey, your hair is grey and you live in a monochrome world. Let's also be aware that monochrome pictures cover a multitude of things. And you did ask for an opinion to why people asked for a colour picture but then you don't want the answer!

There is a reason why I could understand them wanting to see a RECENT colour shot, and that is because b+w's do tend to be 'ageless' - they could have been taken last week.... or they could have been taken 25 years ago. I have stuff I shot in the 80's on b+w which I show to people to explain this and they find it hard to put a date when they were taken to them.

If it's for any other recent other than 'currency' of the photos in your gallery (hate to bring skin colour into the equation, but....) then you're probably better off not meeting them.
