Can some one explain how the banking system works

I opened a new HSBC account on Friday.

Transferred some of my wages into my savings account early hours of this morning some lovely person helped themselves to nearly 600 pounds my savings is OK but I can't use my HSBC or my santander why because I don't have the long card number for new account, so my old account is cancelled I can't use that solution we will link your new card to Google pay oh sorry it does not work long code not available due to the fraudulent activity gets better until the fraud has been resolved I can't do anything

Call the relevant bank on the phone number on your card and discuss it with them.

However, if it was a wank account, you'd get lots of helpful tips.

So someone hacked your account and took £600?

I'd say your bank are probably being v cautious to make sure nobody else can access it ,whilst they presumably look into it all.

Could you go to a branch with i.d and see if they can help you at all.

Get onto the bank the money was taken from asap. Explain everything and they will deal with it.

Go into your bank, with plenty of id.

Theyll liase with the fraud dept to sort out matters for you.
