"I’ve met with a guy who has Parkinson’s since his 30’s, he told me after we’d played the first time and it doesn’t make any difference to me. I’ve known him about 10 years now. If people are going to judge you on a limp then are they really the type of people you want to play with? It’s up to you when you disclose it. " This

"would bring disabled put anyone off and would you put it in your profile for anyone wondering got cerebral palsy affecting left leg basically walk with a limp " my wife has the exact same disability … we had ppl block us because we told them about it … so those kind of people are no loss to us … we have had plenty of fun with ppl who take no notice of it and it had boosted her confidence to no end , the ones who have a problem with it are not ones who you should be playing with anyways !! Best of luck on here buddy !!

"What about invisible disabilites? I am registered disabled with mental health issues. Although I do not mention it on my profile if chatting with someone I do tend to mention it. To my knowledge no one has refused to converse or meet me because of it. The general response is usual curiosity, and after a quick chat about it seem to be ok. I do however feel that if it was on my profile people would judge me, whereas by it not being there they can see what I am like by the messages before I bring it up, if that makes sensse." I understand that people have a go about my spelling,

"Hi ironic today I received a message from a lady on a dating site just saying morning. When I looked at the profile she has been honest enough to say she has a disability and uses a wheelchair and needs help moving about. She talks about wanting someone to help her with everyday tasks or she doesn’t mind having carers. I have replied back just saying Hi how are you but tbh I don’t intend to meet up with her as I wouldn’t feel comfortable in that sort of relationship so I will wish her the best of luck with search and I am just not man enough to handle a relationship with someone with those sort of disabilities I know it’s weak but it’s honest " It’s not weak in all honesty, you’ve got to consider what would work for you in a relationship. Personally it’s up to the individual whether to disclose a disability on fab as it’s a personal matter. If on the other hand a disability had an impact on playing then it’s better to be informed. If it doesn’t then there’s no real need.

"would bring disabled put anyone off and would you put it in your profile for anyone wondering got cerebral palsy affecting left leg basically walk with a limp " I absolutely totally get where you are coming from. I ask myself the same thing all the time. It has quite the impact on my confidence sometimes. Other times not so much. Even though I am disabled and I can’t walk, it doesn’t seem to put people off. And if they do that sounds like a them problem. Don’t worry about it OP. Some people will be absolutely fine, others not so much. X

"We've mentioned in our profile that Mr has Cerebral Palsy, purely because it immediately filters out the people who have a problem with it (assuming they actually read our profile!) There's nothing more soul destroying than having a great connection with a person/couple only for them to back off when they find out about his disability. This way there's no way we could be accused of trying to hide anything" yeah i’ve put it in my profile too can’t message you x

You my friend are the prime example sadly

"Only time I'm concerned about any disability or illness is if its something that might flare up and I need to be aware of it, or do something to help as any friend would. Otherwise it's just down to good old fashioned attraction!" I think the most important quotation to remember here is “people who matter don’t mind, and people who mind don’t matter“ there are plenty of people who would love to meet you. I’m sure and anyone who is that stupid that a limp would affect them is definitely somebody who you would need to regard as having dodged a bullet if it matters to them that much

"would bring disabled put anyone off and would you put it in your profile for anyone wondering got cerebral palsy affecting left leg basically walk with a limp " Personally wouldn't bother me. I'd not put it in your profile but mention it in conversation with potential meets. I've had a stroke. Minimally affected. I always tell my stroke story, it's rather amusing.
