It shouldn't matter just asking op do you discuss it as part of the conversations you have with possibles prior to a meet or do you have it on your profile. Only asking as if it was sprung on me I'd be upset that information was hidden from me if you understand what I mean

hiding from cock pics.

It wouldn't put me off but I do think it's something that should be in your profile, or discussed before a meet arranged.

I met someone once with a physical disability that hadn't been mentioned previously, and I felt uncomfortable that it wasn't mentioned before

Shouldn't be a problem, don't think it is necessary to put on profile but if you chat we people that could possibly lead to a meet then it should be mentioned, if they are not comfortable with it then that says more about them than it does you.

Nobody is perfect.

Some may even have a kink for it. You’re in a very inclusive group.

I’m yet to match with a disabled person, on here.

Saying that, if I did I’d probably get distracted and start designing things to make their life easier.

Shouldn't matter if you are disabled... Unless special needs are required... IE if arranging meet that the venue is wheelchair friendly for those unable to walk distance...

I’ve met with a guy who has Parkinson’s since his 30’s, he told me after we’d played the first time and it doesn’t make any difference to me. I’ve known him about 10 years now.

If people are going to judge you on a limp then are they really the type of people you want to play with? It’s up to you when you disclose it.

Hi ironic today I received a message from a lady on a dating site just saying morning. When I looked at the profile she has been honest enough to say she has a disability and uses a wheelchair and needs help moving about. She talks about wanting someone to help her with everyday tasks or she doesn’t mind having carers. I have replied back just saying Hi how are you but tbh I don’t intend to meet up with her as I wouldn’t feel comfortable in that sort of relationship so I will wish her the best of luck with search and I am just not man enough to handle a relationship with someone with those sort of disabilities I know it’s weak but it’s honest

Some people it matters but their 'too polite' to say... Others it matters and their upfront and honest about it, other it matters and they make an excuse and leave or don't meet etc....

The rest of us don't care and take people for face value and personality and chat etc.... We're all on here for similar things and end of the day not everyone is going to match...

My mate is an amputee and he doesn't tell people on his profile but he let's people know before any meet arranged and he's had no problems...

Big up yourself and your positives, dont worry about the minority concerned about the little things

What about invisible disabilites?

I am registered disabled with mental health issues.

Although I do not mention it on my profile if chatting with someone I do tend to mention it. To my knowledge no one has refused to converse or meet me because of it.

The general response is usual curiosity, and after a quick chat about it seem to be ok. I do however feel that if it was on my profile people would judge me, whereas by it not being there they can see what I am like by the messages before I bring it up, if that makes sensse.

I have a spinal cord injury and possible ME. My left leg is a bit knackered so I walk with a stick (and a limp). It wouldn't bother me meeting anyone with disabilities and I'm always honest about mine if a meet is on the cards. We'll be heading out for our first club night on Saturday complete with walking stick. Most people have never had a problem and it doesn't hold me back. Nettie x

It’s not weak in all honesty, you’ve got to consider what would work for you in a relationship. Personally it’s up to the individual whether to disclose a disability on fab as it’s a personal matter. If on the other hand a disability had an impact on playing then it’s better to be informed. If it doesn’t then there’s no real need.

I absolutely totally get where you are coming from. I ask myself the same thing all the time. It has quite the impact on my confidence sometimes. Other times not so much. Even though I am disabled and I can’t walk, it doesn’t seem to put people off. And if they do that sounds like a them problem.

Don’t worry about it OP. Some people will be absolutely fine, others not so much. X

It's something I've struggled with putting in dating/hookup profiles..while not a visible disability it impacts my life daily (I had major heart surgery for a birth defect they only found during lockdown)

And while I am no longer as bad I still suffer, not to mention the multiple scars on chest and right leg from surgery so very self conscious about it

I think if your disability restricts your sexual style in any way you have a duty to mention that beforehand.

It's certainly something you need to talk about with prospective partners before anything physical takes place.

It wouldn't bother me in the slightest. (I'm the mother of a child with grade 4 CP) but some may lack knowledge and understanding about It and worry most probably unnecessarily,

So it would be worth mentioning either in your profile or in messages and chit chat before you meet.

We've mentioned in our profile that Mr has Cerebral Palsy, purely because it immediately filters out the people who have a problem with it (assuming they actually read our profile!)

There's nothing more soul destroying than having a great connection with a person/couple only for them to back off when they find out about his disability. This way there's no way we could be accused of trying to hide anything

Only time I'm concerned about any disability or illness is if its something that might flare up and I need to be aware of it, or do something to help as any friend would. Otherwise it's just down to good old fashioned attraction!

I think the most important quotation to remember here is “people who matter don’t mind, and people who mind don’t matter“

there are plenty of people who would love to meet you. I’m sure and anyone who is that stupid that a limp would affect them is definitely somebody who you would need to regard as having dodged a bullet if it matters to them that much
