Ladies tattooed sternum

Right ladies, does having this done make it painful to wear a bra afterwords??..I'm quite a busty girl so unfortunately I can't get away with not wearing one lol.

So this might be a bit of a game changer!

hey OP

when i got my sternum done, i just wore a really soft loungey bralette thing for the first week or so if i needed to (luckily i planned it so i didn't actually need to go anywhere so could lounge around without anything on, and just shove that on if i went out or was airing the tattoo).

it nipped like, i won't lie.

like you, im bigger-busted, and i found it seriously affected the healing process (skin, heat, sweat etc).

thus far, its the most painful tattoo ive had (mid-sternum/cleavage), but it's absolutely beaut.. just the tattoo itself and the process of trying to heal it was torture!

Don't do it .. it's a fad and will wane in popularity and then you have something that you wish you hadn't had done, that'll never totally fade .. I cannot understand this tattoo thing especially in your face ones.. on the neck chest fingers .. honestly think very carefully about it. I don't know your sexual preferences, so apologies, but for example I don't know a single person who finds that kind of thing attractive... Certainly no guy on a woman. Maybe I socialise with more traditional minded folks, but I can't for the life of me understand why anything permanently tattooed on a woman's chest is remotely appealing ..

My wife has hers tattooed to hide a scalding mark from boiling water when young, amazing cover up and looks great. Healing was fine after, clothing no issue

Traditional minded folk? What exactly does that mean?

It's funny, because most people we know love tattoos and trust me, the Mrs gets more than enough attention on hers

You sure you're on the right site with views like that

I'm booking in for my next tattoo a spine one can imagine a bra would kinda hurt with that too. When I got my nipples pierced I wore bikini tops as felt they were a bit softer or like above a bralet and like yourself I'm rather large chested so felt couldn't really go with nothing on for days on end.

Good luck with the tattoo bet it looks amazing (Ms Fox)

What a load of shite

You don't like tattoos - don't approach people with tattoos. Your judgement is completely irrelevant though!

OP I found that wearing soft bralette vest type tops was fine.

I managed to arrange things so I could go without a bra. I wore a very floaty top for work on the days I had to go in the office.

I did have 'second skin' or whatever it's called over my tattoo for about a week so I think that helped it to heal quicker too.

I love my tattoos - just need to save up for my next one!

And I don’t think he would find me attractive either. I must say having a fully tattooed breast wasn’t anymore painful than the others but it did hurt under my arm. Nearly all of my tattoos are hidden when wearing shorts and a tee shirt with the exception of one on my right ankle.

Wow, you were brave posting this, what a completely stuck up opinion, I get plenty of attention because of my body art as do most people on here, and what ever made you assume I wanted to follow a fad, trend if you like, I have several of them amd always looking to add more, my husband adores them, he has tattoos to, we are educated people, and being covered in body art does not make us any different! Your comment was pompous and uncalled for.

Have a nice day

To the other peeps that have commented, thankyou for your advice and experiences, bit of a mixed bag, and really unsure if I want to do it, I'm glad I asked though because it's something I didn't think about, my focus was purely on having it without thinking about healing etc until I saw a pic of one that hadn't healed very well at all so it's made me a bit wary. Xx

Love mine healed super easy (bigger busted but fake so not an issue touching the tattoo)

I wore bralettes or sports bras and it was an easy 5/10 pain compared to my ass tattoo. I’d even stretch to say my wrists hurt more

Very true, people dont think ahead. You're gonna look pretty stupid when you end up in a care home in later years with "I Luv Cock" tattooed up your neck.
