As a bi man who occasionally meets men on their own I can safely say that yes, this is perfectly normal

Yes, it’s normal to have preferences or hesitations. Don’t do anything you aren’t comfortable with. If you still think about but not sure about the source of your hesitations - find local bi guy and go for non sexual meet to talk through.
