Hi! We’re looking for a little advice. We’ve been approached by a few people now who’d like to host a party at our home.

We’ve hosted small private parties for friends before but this would be a first time as ticketed events.

What do people currently pay to attend a private party and and what do you expect to get as good value for that cost?

Thanks for your help!

Usually £15 per couple £20 for single males. Single females free.

Soft drinks and snacks usually provided

Speak to some hosts and they will give you their insight.

Interested as to why charge single males more when the numbers can be controlled and the males vetted if necessary? We get this at clubs so interested why at a private party as such.

A great party has atmosphere as the guest list is key. Having a themed night: fancy dress, valentines, bdsm, or even a foodie night are good reasons to get out of the house and come to yours.

Plenty of seats and even a spare room or two to potentially play in is a good sign. If you can get this right the evening will be a scream.

In the past we have been asked to pay £10 per person as contribution. There was no difference in cost for single men or single women. Just the same cost per person.

Sounds fairer for all parties attending

We’ve hosted parties of 25+ before. Just not a paying one

Those prices seem good.

We don’t change, we ask the people we know and add others we’d like to know……. It’s a private party , definitely wouldn’t have open house, you never know who’s going to turn up

That's why vetting is so important.

We have hosted one party for 8 couples and didn't charge.

Although we did spend time and money on fuck swings and latex sheets etc.

We asked guests to bring something nice to eat. Suggesting if they had any specialities they would like to share then it would be a nice gesture.

The pack of m and s sausage rolls went down well.

I think there is a little confusion here lol.

We’ve hosted parties for friends and acquaintances before. We never charged and a good time has been had.

We’ve now been approached by people who run events at the local clubs and want to use our venue (dungeon, hot tub, grounds etc).

They will be ticketed events. Like club nights just on a smaller scale.

That’s why we’re asking for costing experiences of similar.

I like the idea here, like a dinner party with a swinger twist, everyone bring something to eat and something to eat
