I know this has been said before but it's really hard work when your a single guy on here. How can you really prove that your 100% genuine when there are so many timewasters and that's just not single guys that's couples & women as well.

What I hate the most is when you spend time writing out a polite message and its just delete delete delete.

I know some women/couples get a lot of messages but a no thanks wouldn't go a miss at times. I'm a big boy I can take a no thanks rant over

As has also been said before some people get lots of messages so just choose not to reply to the ones they aren't interested in. Some have had bad experiences with people getting nasty once they've been turned down so that's why they choose not to reply.

Surely the message getting deleted it the equivalent of a no thanks? Don't let it get you down. You've only been on here 6 weeks. Maybe try putting a few public pics on your profile coz then people looking for single guys will have something to see before they message you?? Xx

youve been on here 6 weeks ..what exactly were you exspecting ?

anything worth while takes time and effort .do you use chat rooms ? what about going to socials or a club if near by . maybe rethink the messages youre sending and vamp up your profile .if people dont answer then thats your answer as to them not being interested !so what can you do to get their interest in a posative.

as for the self indulgent ,self pittying rubbish about its hard for single guys, messages get deleated...bleet bleet .god sake man up ! if your a big boy then act like one and not like a child not getting what they want when then want which is how this comes across to me . accept its hard for alot of folks on here, and plenty of single guys do very well on here ! so look at them and what they do (or dont do ) and learn from that too. you can either learn from whats not working for you or just carrying on regardless and leave . choice is yours.

Hahaha, its all about psychology! You have to appeal to women. You have to make yourself look socially and emotionally strong.

Whereas is guys look for beauty primarily, women look for social/emotional strength primarily. You have to appeal to that.

Remember though, you are not in demand (I'm not either). Like all things, then the supply is greater than the demand, the article has little value. Us guys outnumber the girls 20 to 1... You have to be at the top of the league to be chosen or just get lucky.

Keep trying. You'll get there!

One thing though, and I'm not being funny here, your pic doesn't portray confidence! Try taking a really good pic.. a positive picture, a light one, a smiley pic or just one which just makes them a little bit intrigued.

This is precisely why the site should have a drop down menu for replying to messages, with options such as thanks, but no thanks. Thanks, but no thanks and block sender. Thanks, please send a face pic. Thanks tell me more about you etc.

That way all mail could be answered quickly with out becoming time consuming. Which should please all those that complain they don't get replies etc

I have a smiley pic , through this site I have been invited to various clubs and I am looking forward to it . Generally peeps on here are polite and most do reply with good manners . Apart from a few in Oxford ! No loss there lol. Keep trying and you will find what your looking for .

I'm on a site that has all those options and more. It also allows you to set filters, with a much wider range than Fab.

It doesn't have a Forum, but it allows members to write diaries. The men can only see the womens and vice versa.

Nearly EVERY diary entry is a complaint about getting automatic "no thanks" messages or complaining about women daring to have filters that exclude them.

To add salt to their wounds the men have to pay to join the site - a very hefty sum - and the women are free.

The bottom line is no matter what is in place, there will always be people with a sense of entitlement.

i think there must be people on the site who get a hige amount of mail...if they replied even to say 'no thanks' that wouldn't even stop some of the 'why, am i not good enough for you...' replies from people who wonder why they aren't having any luck. i don't write out much to people, and would never send a 'one liner', but that doesn't mean you can expect a reply.

When my profile is visible it clearly states what I'm looking for - no ambiguity - and makes it clear I will not respond to anyone outwith my criteria.

If people are unable to read and understand English that is not my problem. I think it bad manners to write to me when you are the polar opposite to what I'm looking for.

If others are desperate for pen friends and want to spend their days writing to people they have no intention of meeting - go them - me? My life won't be that long to waste.

Furthermore, you've only been on here 6 weeks. Give it time.

Finally, the only pic I can see is a headless torso as an avatar which is tiny and gives no indication really of what you look like.

I think the point being made is that you don't have any public pics on your profile so people have no idea what you look like-face or body. In the competitive world of single guys, there are plenty with great pics and they are the ones who will catch the eye of busy people. Your avatar pic is a bit weird tbh!

There's no need to criticise the profiles of people who give you constructive advice.

I have face pics I can send and unlike the vast majority I have some obscure face pics to give you some idea!

You have NOTHING on which someone visiting your profile can decide do they fancy you.
